Just found this in ASDA perfect for Christmas.
Salmon pink with a bouquet of good intensity and elegance that holds scents of flowers and fruits, like rose, wild strawberry and raspberry with a touch of black pepper. In the mouth, soft and semi-sweet with hints of fresh strawberry, orange zest. Very easy to drink, fruity, quite soft, well balanced
The Martini company was founded in Italy in 1863 producing vermouth but also sparkling wines made from the locally grown and naturally sweet Moscato Bianco grapes. It is currently celebrating its 150th anniversary. From 1871 to 1900 Martini sparkling wines were being exported far and wide: Shanghai, Istanbul, Vienna, Mexico and Russia. In 1895, Frederico Martinotti, a friend of the Rossi family, invented a new sparkling wine method. The control of the fermentation process enabled Signor Rossi to reach a constant and very high level of quality helping to establish Martini as a producer of sparkling wines of a consistently high quality. The Martini heritage lies in producing sparkling wines that are aromatic, very fruity, relatively light and easy to drink. Martini Rose is made using a single fermentation for the Moscato and Brachetto musts with two fermentations for the Prosecco wine by the Martinotti (Charmat) method. Franco Brezza, the current head winemaker for Spumante wines, has been with the company for over 27 years. Franco's father worked for the company for 38 years.
