  Play.com have been late in their deliveries recently unlike amazon.

  Good luck with cancelling a Play order. I ordered something before Christmas having used them loads before - it said in stock, didn't turn up for christmas so I tried to cancel it after Christmas and ordered it from Amazon. Play said too late to cancel as being "picked" and sent it anyway and then when I sent it back they would not refund delivery. Haven't ordered anything since from there. Amazon for me everytime!

  Cancelling of play was a matter of pressing cancel, order is gone now. I guess you were unlucky with the timing of your cancellation.
