Marvel Digital Comics - Unlimited Access Deal 45p

Hey Guys, First Deal posted so take it easy on me :D

Marvel.com are doing a deal for the next few days where u can get unlimited access to their entire online comic book collection for an entire month for less than 50p. This deal normally costs $10 a month but as its there 75 anniversary it has been made cheaper and can be cancelled at any time.

With the popularity of the Marvel films and everything coming to the forefront now their is no better time to try and get yourself or others into the original comics which are fantastic and this deals gets access to every comic, online, and in seconds.

For ease of access there is a free app that can be downloaded on Android or Apple that gives instant access to the library on the go. You can add 12 comics to allow u to read offline.

I would recommend to everyone to try out Marvel Zombies, its a critically acclaimed version of events where the marvel heroes become zombies. It is written by The Walking Dead Creator, Robert Kirkman, and is fantastic.

Seems a reasonable deal, effectively a 30 day free trial (well 50p).

Great price, I guess you will get charged in USD so your bank might add £1 to it?

I'll be using Post Office platinum credit card to avoid that.

You dont have to cancel it, you can turn the auto-payment off and it will just expire after your month

I don't think he thinks he's 'pro' for doing it, just highlighting it for other members with a post office card.
Plus it saves you spending money you don't have to (an extra 200% on top in fees), so I don't see what's wrong with that.

You can already download them via torrents, etc, illegally of course
One of the main benefits of this is the convenience, bit like netflix v torrents

It's pretty cheap if you pay for the year, it works out at £3.60 a month

Be aware the Android app is terrible. Very slow at downloads and the save to device function only works intermittantly so you are stuck with needing to be online. I got 3 months free with my Samsung TAB S this Autumn and gave up after 2 weeks to go back to torrents, which always work and are always available. It also was not updated once during the period.

That said, the deal is good value just not convinced it's a long term proposition.

Nice spot, heated.

Disappointed people will openly torrent this content.

I use it on android, it's not perfect but good enough
- Often after starting it'll say can't connect, but if you backout and go back in it seems to sort itself out straight away
- It now shows recently viewed comics, so if you're reading a series after finishing a comic open the next one ready, next time you log in it'll be there ready
- I used save to device at first but now tend to always be online so can't comment there, if you're always online then (on my 60Meg connection) it's pretty much instant

The recommended series tend to be good.

Well, that's nice. On the other hand maybe I'm trying to highlight the fact that you might wind up paying an extra 200% over the whole point of this deal, which has a main pull of being super cheap, <£1.

Pretty common thing to do on a deals website....

On here, people know about the PO card, use them when they go on holiday etc. instead of exchanging cash. I'm not trying to look cool (it's a free credit card), but hey, if your delusions brighten your day, you enjoy them....

If you can be bothered you can gift this deal to yourself and keep the codes ready to use each month. Found this on neogaf...

"You'll need 2 emails, one associated with the service and one not. You sign up for your account now at 75c, then at the very bottom on the right is a little graphic saying you can give the service as a gift. Select that, choose monthly, then go to payment and you can apply the code again. Enter the gift recipient email as your other email account. You can only buy one at a time, which sucks, but you can do it 11 times and have 11 on deck waiting for you."

It took me a little time to get it sorted out but I now have codes to last me for a year for $9…sweet.
#39
Heat purely for recommending Marvel Zombies, I wasn't keen on the later series but I really enjoyed the first few.

Dammit. Looks like I've missed this deal by hours/minutes. Code has expired. So annoying as i've been planning to subscribe.
