If you voted on the Bafta awards you should have a £5 voucher to use towards this at Game making it £16.99, was going to post it last night. I had £7.50 on my Game card so got it for £9.49. Been waiting ages to play this...

Heat. Good price. Will wait a bit though.

New add-on content is being released 29/3/11, so good time to buy. I bought mine in GAME yesterday for 27.99. Thought that was a good deal but clearly not :/ At least i can play it today though!

FInally approaching a price it should be at when you consdier the super cheap prices you can pick this up for on the 360.

Ideally I wanted to download this from the PSN store...but at £47........oO

Yeh but this includes the add on missions that the 360 version doesn't. Paid this for it last month when tesco had it on offer, superb game, worth every penny. Although it is classed as an RPG, I wouldn't class it as such, it feels a bit too linear at times.

I've already got (and completed) this on XBox360. Am tempted to buy it for the PS3 because of the add-on missions. Does anyone have both versions and have a view on whether the add on missions would be worth the extra to buy the PS3 version?
Thanks!

Exactly what I just did...except I didn't use the points. It's a cracker price, although my wife's going to kill me.

Price matched at amazon for those who prefer to buy via them - also a few good reviews / comments worth reading posted on there.

Do you lose out plot wise etc on this one if you never played the first one?

Not really you get a comic to watch /play thorugh to make the decisions found in the first game, bring you up to speed with past events, obviously it wont be as detailed as playing the first game, but ensures you not feeling too left out.

I have, I also have all the DLC for the Xbox as well so can offer you a fair and unbiased review. I last played through ME2 on 360 just before Chrimbo.

I got this on PS3 the other week and have so far played approx half of the missions. It plays the same, but somehow feels different on the PS3. It is a tad buggy at times, but that in no way detracts from it looking better and playing better. It plays more like the PC version!

Annoying bugs are mostly concerned with the planet scanning! For some reason the vibration doesnt equate to the location of minerals. SO IF (like me) you wanna just skip through the search function and get what you need it takes staring at the planet to find the best cache. On the 360 I just moved the stick, felt the vibration and sent a probe out.......Do this on the PS3 and you'll run out of probes and have next to NO minerals in return!

IF you were to buy the game and all the DLC (that you get here) on the 360 it would cost more than this.

I think it is great to have it on both consoles, having played ME1 I didnt really feel I missed out on any of the backstory, BUT that said, the interactive comic is a bit of a joke. It doesnt add anything (other than the choices you were forced to make in ME1) and I just wanted to bypass it asap. How someone coming to it fresh sees it I cannot answer.

I prefer having access to most of the team from the gitgo as it allows you to just go where you want (within the confines of the main storyline) and gives the game a fresher edge.

I'll probably get the next dlc on both as well and also pick up ME3 on both later in the year (bad thing about playing through it on both form my perspective X) )

I tend to pick up multi plat on both at some point anyway. I just like to see what the other has to offer. TBH, IF this came out on PS3 from the off I think it would have been the best version to buy, as it is now I can say I prefer playing it on the PS (bugs aside) but that maybe because I dont have to swap discs or pay to DLC.

I would recommend it!

Well considering Mass Effect 2 on Ps3 utilises the Mass Effect 3 Game engine, something that Xbox didnt get a chance to do...its a visually better experience. Plus you get the add on contents which add to a substantial stand alone game, so yes i would say give it a shot.

Such a good game.. Only got it for 360 a few weeks back (£2.99) and it really is epic.. ME1 had more of an RPG feel to it, which I preferred though.. This is more like GOW if anything..

If you bought it on 360 for that price, you got ripped off.

If you did indeed however get it for PS3 at that price, feel free to tell us where ^^

What, i don't understand. Why is there such a huge price difference for different consoles?

You have to be brain dead to put up with this abomination of a game. I'd wait until its £10 and then still regret buying it.

Better graphics is highly debateable, its running on an improved engine - yes, but lighting effects / shadow effects plus some texture detail are reduced, but then the ps3 graphics chip lacks useable ram and was dated (from a PC builders perspective) upon release.

Wow thanks for the candid and detailed opinion. I think I will end up getting this for the additional content and then I can hopefully export my Shepard into Mass Effect 3 which I will get on PS3 too.
Thanks again.
