I originally took this deal on 21/01/10. I've checked the prices at additions direct and they're still the same.
I said I'd update this post once payment had been taken and I'd received the goods, so for the people who voted cold the last time I posted this please read the following.

Mass effect 2 and Ghostbusters for Xbox 360 comes to a total of £64 (plus £3.95 p&p unless you can find a voucher for that as well).
Use code ZG103 which gives you £30 off an order over £60. If this one has expired there are others, check the vouchers section of HUKD. (Please note this code is for NEW customers, if you use this code and are already an additions direct customer it may not work and you could be charged the full amount).,
You get both for £37.95 delivered.
At the time CEX were giving £20 cash for Ghostbusters secondhand. Gamestation £1 more. I traded it in the day I got it. Unfortunately CEX are now only offering £11 for it.
It means Mass effect 2 worked out for me at only £17.95. Still waiting for the cashback to appear on my TCB account (around £3) but that would be a bonus.
I have checked my credit card statement and I have only been charged the £37.95.
I know a lot of people hate the catalogue deals but can you try to post comments on my deal and not deals you've had previously through additions etc.

Sold Mass effect to CEX for £26. £8.05 Profit. Code worked, no comeback from additions when used correctly + they didn't try to reclaim the cash at a later date. cashback tracked. Not bad for what was voted a cold deal.
Thanks.

Before anybody else votes cold.
I said it was good as a one off. If you're not already a member of additions direct, the codes will definately work.
Also if you can find a copy of Mass effect 2 for £17.95 brand new, please let me know

I cold voted cause additions direct are one of the worst companies ive had the displeasure of dealing with.
#3
Not voted either way

BUT

The codes work yes, but its not garanteed that they wont take the official amount out of your bank at a later date which they are KNOWN for doing.

People vote cold because its a risk, its not a definate deal

£17.95 for Mass Effect 2...through dodgy codes that may be claimed back and having to take something to cex, no thank you

These codes are hardly "dodgy". They are available to all NEW customers. It seems to me the only reason why people vote this cold and say that the codes don't work is because they are not new members and they try to use new members codes.
Anyway before this descends into an online argument about the evils of additions direct and peoples bad experiences with codes etc, all I can say is from my experience, if you use these codes legitimately, they work.

I tried using one of these new customer codes at additions before. Wouldnt work, customer service said i must be spelling the voucher code wrong, I said "how many F@*$ing errors can I make typing NEW15". Funnily enough they never got back to me, and I went and bought at a GOOD company. Sorry for the rant. I happily voted cold by the way.

"Yes I understand that this will get voted cold".

Ok, good. I don't need to explain why I voted it cold then.

Just because I said " Yes I understand that this will get voted cold", that doesn't mean I understand why. So really an explanation would help.
If you took the time to respond to my quote, a few extra words wouldn't hurt would they?

Yes I understand that this will get voted cold because it is an additions direct voucher deal

You gave yourself the reason in the first post.

Dodgy using a voucher code, to which you may not be entitled and these cowboys will take the money back at a later date.

Update.
Ghostbusters received today. Visited my local CEX who offered £20 cash £24 credit. Visited gamestation and they offered £1 more. No problems.

I said I'd update this post once payment had been taken and I'd received the goods, so for the people who voted cold the last time I posted see above

CEX are also currently offering £29 cash for Mass effect 2. So possibility of a profit here once I've finished the game.
