Question: Do you need to play an complete the original to enjoy the story for this one?

Played the first one when it first came out but only ever made it through 20% max.... back then I didn't have the time to play it. Cheers in advance.

I'm currently playing through it having only played about the first 10-20% of the first and I'm really enjoying it so far - much better than it's predecessor and, aside from a couple of minor references and characters, works perfectly as a standalone game.

I would say you will enjoy the 2nd alot more of you complete the first one, this ME trilogy rely's heavily on story

personally I would never play ME2 without playing the first one, your getting half the experience if you do

I didn't play ME1 first and I thoroughly enjoyed ME2. I then went back and bought ME1, completed that and imported my character into ME2, playing through it again.

Although if you have the first one, you may as well play that first.

XBox and PS3 versions of many good
games are getting cheap, cheaper than
PC versions for me. Good deal though.

I played the second one, i've never played the first one, but I thought the 2nd was one of the best games i've played earlier this year, was truely awesome!

Yeh the prices of games seem to drop like rocks at the moment, unless its something massively popular like Red Dead Redemption. Keeps making me terribly tempted to buy more even though I have plenty to play.

Fantastic price! Been waiting for the slide to the near £10 mark, loved the first game so much.

Thanks for spotting this!
