Is the dlc in the classics version?

I think it is. There is a sticker on the front saying Bonus Disk

Hot price but I think I might get bored with all the cut scenes and the combat is supposed to be a bit of a let down.
#6
Great spot, I will have to cancel my ZAVVI order now. Ordered mid Jan and still waiting with ZAVVI.

the combat is fine, it's peoples expectations that bring about complaints.

too many people approach M.E. as a third person shooter, with added talky bits, which it isn't.

it's frst and foremost an RPG which replaces swordfighting and magic, the usual staples of the genre, with guns and "biotics" (which is basically magic but induced by technology, rather than spells or what have you)

what you have to accept when going in fresh is that as a level 1 rpg character, you aren't the all-powerful superhero with the perfect aim, though that will come about eventually as you level up.

it's always amazed me when people criticise M.E. for this, but happily accept weakness when playing a more traditional RPG :)

anyway, for this price you can't complain as it is a superb game from start to finish, and superb value.

you may be waiting a while, AC2 still hasnt dropped in price I think it will take at least 3/4 months to drop below that price

can you wait that long if its a game that you really want?
#14
Pretty good game. Call me a total skinflint though, but especially now the sequel's out, I'd want it for a few quid less.

Any idea whether this deal is in-store as well?

CEX gives £4 cash and £6 tradein for the original Mass Effect, so if they have it in store I can take my original version into Gamestation and they give me an extra £1 so this Classic version will only cost me £0.99.

If anybody can confirm whether this is instore as well please. A full Orange/Red dot of Rep waiting :-)

CEX will give £4 cash or £6 tradein. Not both.
So if you take it to them you will make a loss either way

I meant "or" sorry .

My point is that Gamestation instore will price match the trade in of CEX plus £1 so they will give me £7 for my original Version of Mass Effect (without DLC).

So strictly speaking I will be paying £0.99 for the DLC  if they have this offer instore.

Awesome game, can't think of a better way to spend £8

I think the whole point of this deal is the fact that the classic version has the DLC content included in an extra disk, so this version is worth more than the normal version. But thanks for letting us know about the price of toys'rus

I think you should post the deal, if nobody bother to do it then we would not have such an amazing site like this. Come one it only takes a couple of minutes.

good then its worth it, I did the same with Fallout 3 CE. I should have waited for GOTY edition to come down in price then brought that instead of paying for it off xbox live

probably would have cost the same as all the downloaded DLC

although F3 CE wont get as much on ebay, kinda annoys me when companies dont make the CE limited
#32
Thanks to the OP

Great deal. Ordered yesterday morning and it arrived today too! Total result.

Anyone who ordered this having trouble playing it?

Ordered yesterday afternoon, arrived this morning... but as soon as the BioWare and Microsoft Game Studios screens have played out, it gives me a Disc Unreadable error. I've been trying to install it for about 2 hours, it has made it to 28% every single time but 1 - where it only made it to 23% - and stops.. showing the same Disc Unreadable error. I've cleaned the disc (although it didn't need cleaning).

I have sent an email off to Gamestation but haven't heard anything back yet, just wanted to check if anyone else has had this same error with this particular batch? Every other game works fine in my 360. Playing FIFA 10 right now without any problems.. strange stuff.

Great offer though.. if I can get it working!
#36
No problems here, either got a faulty disc or your units optical drive is starting to die...

Funny that you say that, when I bought my XBOX 360 two years ago and got the original Mass Effect game I had problems reading the game and had errors (at the time you could not install games on the ahrd drive) . So I would say that Mass Effect it was one of the first games to really push your DVD drive, after getting Gamestation at the time to do a disc cleaning I still had the same problem, in the end I realised that the problem was that my 1 month old XBOX 360 was starting to fail. I managed to get it replaced.

Gamestation replied and said they haven't had any other complaints and that I could drop it back into the shop for a full refund or pick up another copy.

I googled the problem and it seems to be quite common with Mass Effect.

I can play FIFA, MW2, Lego, all of the GH/RB games, my Halo 3 disc is probably in the poorest condition, and I never have a problem loading the Campaign or on-disc maps from that! Pretty much every other game fine, with a few exceptions... I've had to install Fallout 3, Oblivion... but even after giving me 1-2 read errors over days of playing, they still let me install fine without any trouble. Mass Effect hasn't managed to make it past 28% once, so I'm hoping its a faulty disc and not my drive. anyway, I'm rambling, gonna give it another try and get a replacement disc.
#39
Definately think its your XBOX my copy has been installed to the HDD plus the DLC and no problems at all.

Sorry to hear your having problems.

I agree with jerrymartin, your XBOX is giving those sign :?. If you still have warranty then use it, if not it might be time to start thinkin in trading that XBOX at GAME or gamestation and get a new one.

Once you start to get those errors is only going to get worse. Sorry to hear that .
