Mass Effect in the Argos Sale now just £9.99. Stunning sci-fi RPG and the best price I've seen it yet.

Dont forget... you can get this for £7.70 in PC World price matching Argos!

Wish I'd waited - I got the game for £25 before Christmas and haven't even got round to starting playing it yet!

Forza 2 dropped to the same price point earlier this year for a good number of weeks so anyone that wants it grab it soon before Argos puts it back up

I was exactly the same. Finally gave it a go recently and found it boring. Lots of walking around and talking, followed by some fairly clumsy action sequences.

Sold it on Ebay for £12 after the usual retailers offered shocking amounts in trade and cash.

I would give it a try quick in case it doesn't float your boat either so you can get rid while it's worth more than a fiver.

No they don't. But here's something you could try. Buy it again at the new lower price, don't open it, and then come back the next day simply return it on the old receipt that has the higher price

Dunno if you can return items bought online to a store, but if you can, take it to your local one and ask them to refund the difference. I bought a tent from them a few weeks ago for £60 and then the next day it was reduced to £40. I took it back in and they refunded me the difference without any trouble at all....

gotta be worth a shot?

I don't suppose having the game still sealed makes a difference?

With the double negative response to my post so far I doubt they would even let you return if you if you had just seconds ago bought it from the paying till and walked straight over to the customer service desk for a return :-D

Excellent price. I'll be buying this later, cheers.

Awesome price for one of the best Xbox 360 games around (that I've played, at least).

I found that I needed to put a few hours into the game before I started getting really into it, and learnt the control system (uses EVERY button on the pad) ,but now that I'm there I'm absolutely hooked! It really feels as if the choices you make in game are changing the storyline. It's so going to be worth re-playing once I'm finished.

Voted hot.

Great price! Went and bought one today. The weird thing was though I was asked for ID which I used my drivers licence, but the game said on the box that it was a 12...Am I missing something?:-D

Its closer, and i walked, in my lunch break, which is also next to boots... where i got my meal deal! Am in central London.

Also picked up Scene It for £12.49, and some Printer Ink in 80p cheaper than the cheapest i could find!

Long live the price match!

I justed posted a deal for the collector's edition of the strategy guide for this game. Includes standard paperback prima guide, hard back artbook and pull out poster all for £4.98 at Game highstreet stores, NOT on their website...

Okay...after having a brief google, and also realising that my copy from argos doesn't look anything like the one argos has on their website (the one on there has an 18+ PEGI rating whereas mine has a 12 BBFC rating).
Must be that the UK version is a 12, but shops are just being careful by erm...selling it only to 18+ people? Whereas in mainland Europe where PEGI is used it is definitely 18+.
Anyone else in the know explain further?:-D
The weirdest thing was that my copy says *12" and yet I was still ID'ed.
#38
GAME is selling the guide for this for only £5. So £15 for a great game and guide. HOT!

I bought mine last month but only started playing it. Wish I waited now :(

That should be because the till would have told the operator to do so, rather than the operator misreading the BBFC rating on the box

You're probably right...And I did guess as much. It's just strange how buying alcohol and cigarettes is quite easy whereas buying an 18+ game requires me to prove ID... Strange world.:-D Unless you mail-order it of course, then kids can buy any game they like
