I remember that the HMV Outlet in Bridgend is/was the only one in Wales when it opened last year, but I'm pretty sure there are more scattered around the country. Someone will be along to help shortly I'm sure!
#7
nice one cheers will check them out weekend
#8
Looks like there is one in Swindon.
#9
what is the difference between an outlet store and normal store ?? as i have large store near by which i might have quick visit if the deals are in all stores?
#10
I am guessing these outlet stores are clearing stock left from HMV stores that have now closed. Good deal if you live near an outlet store.

Maybe the flogging off of Waterstones will keep HMV afloat for a few months, but I wonder how long they will keep going after that.

Looks like a hoax of someone at HMV sales dept hasnt quite grasped the concept of ebay yet.

Especially as their store is listed under Beauty and Grooming Essentials.

I'm giving you heat because you also posted this on comeonthehoops.co.uk

Shame there's no HMV Outlet stores (that I know of) in Scotland.

Would've jumped at the chance of the Gladiator and Minority Report blu-rays!!!

I'm aware of the HMV at Cheshire Oaks, but I don't think it's an outlet store :-(

This has to be the pick of the bunch. £6.49. But why an 18 cert?

There's an HMV on the Coliseum part but it's not outlet. Unsure if there's one in the main bit of Cheshire Oaks- don't think there is :(
#29
Yeah is this happening anywhere in Manchester?
#30
Bear in mind that the outlet stores are not branded as such, they are in outlet locations, (mcarthurglen etc) and just branded as HMV. So the one in Cheshire Oaks could be an outlet. It has also been reported that these offers are in some standard HMV stores
#31
HMV is not part of McCarthurGlen at Cheshire oaks! Like Vlad indicated, it's part of the Colliseum bit!
#32
Lucky b**tard! HOT

if any of you are in or near east yorkshire we have 2 stores in hull
#34
Does anyone know of a HMV outlet store in the north east?

Basically, it had a fair bit of swearing in at the time it was first rated and that was deemed unacceptable at the 15 rating. (1986). Certain movies/tv shows on video were sexxed up with additional swearing so they would attain a higher rating on video, therefore appear more appealing to home viewers - and possibly target specific audiences.

It was resubmitted in 2000 and still upheld at 18 (coming out of the James Ferman (he was the head censor) era at the BBFC - he was basically a git who would make his censorship team knee-jerk cuts and ratings dependent upon what horrific stabbing/murder/gun crime was occuring in the press. He was also a lapdog to the government's whims)

However, as it hasn't been re-rated since - and it costs money to get films rated - this is just a straight transfer of the master copy to blu-ray. If it was re-rated today it would probably warrant a 12 rating, or 15 at a push (depending on how many f's there are and the intonation of their use).

Hope that answers your question.

If anyone could pick up a copy of The Universe: Season 2 I would be most grateful.
It's one of my favourite programmes.

If you let me know how much it is there, as I'm going today, I'd get it for you, as long as you're willing to pay postage, and can guarantee I won't be left with it on my hands?

Lots of £3 paperback books available too (this is in regular HMV, suppose it's in outlets, too?):

Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter
Green Zone: Imperial Life in the Emerald City
The Lovely Bones
+many others

I used to love Airwolf as a kid. Haven't thought about it for years, but coincidentally yesterday I decided to youtube the theme tune. Perhaps this is a sign I need to buy an advanced attack helicopter oO Wonder if there are any deals on Hotukdeals for one 8)

HMV are nearly out of business, despite selling off Waterstones recently.

Don't expect to see them on the high street for much longer. Simon Fox doesn't really cut it.
