Question - Do sites like this allow you to print of anything ?. I would like to get a few prints of some console game characters, but would they be refused due to possible copyright ?. or does it vary from site to site ?.

When it comes to posters I find it very hard to find a good image that I want. Example - I want a good Predator poster but all the "official" ones just don't do it for me. If I could go around the net to get a good screen grab I would love to be able to get it blown up and printed. Also want a print from the new Star Wars Force Unleashed game.

Excellent price. Don't under stand how this company makes money.

Would also be interested in seeing a response to Teraomi's question.

It shouldn't matter because:
1) if it was a screenshot of a game, what proof have they got that you didn't make it using 3D software?
2) you're not profitting from it.

T-shirt companies would be on your back because they could be sued for creating counterfeit goods, but the only problem I can forsee is this company is advertising as if for photographs of families, etc, so perhaps that sort of thing is not allowed. Who knows!

I've designed posters with logos on before and they've been delivered to me without any problems. But I can't speak for Photobox, sadly.

Don't forget Quidco:
"£1 for your first sale with an order value of £2.99 or less (placed within 60 days of registering)"

Also, just a quick note for anyone who hasn't got a ruler handy; A2 is effectively the size of 4x A4 sheets of paper.

Their Ts & Cs may say it's not allowed but I wouldn't have thought they'd have the ability to check whether your image breaks copyright...

You'd need a pretty good screen grab - A2 at 300dpi is somthing like 7000x3300 - significantly less than that and you're likely to be quite un-happy with the results.

What would peeps recommend as the minimum photo resolution for printing to this size?
#21
2.99 for the poster and £20 for a frame to put it in !!

Can you not pick up a frame in Wilkinson's or somewhere similar :?
#23
Bear in mind that the poster you receive will be about half the size of the example in the OP.

Very good deal though.

Cheers. Been looking at one of these for a while for a Florida/ Disney collage form 2 years ago!

Thanks H+R

I just tried to order one, but said the resolution was too low....damn the iphones shoddy camera!!!

when you goto checkout they offer a 2nd copy of your print for half price!

To be fair, if you've got an iPhone 3GS, 3 Megapixels isn't too bad. Any phone will struggle to get the right resolution. As stated earlier, you'd need roughly 7000x3300 - that's bigger than your monitor's screen.
