Save at least £125 over nearest rival. Before you order this Check your sizes, it's massive & over 6 1/2 feet tall. Cheapest anywhere else is £399 + £25 delivery. I had this delivered & was taken aback by its sheer size. I had a Samsung American f/freezer, but the freezer size was useless. I wanted something big & this certainly fits the bill. I also wanted something for ice, but without an ice maker that takes up a 1/3 of the freezer. Digital display on the front is also very usful. The Electro Centre if you are not familiar with them gets great reviews. I was very impressed. I stay in Scotland and had the item within a couple of days. Good communication and the delivery guys were here 1st thing (calling before arrival) brought the fridge into my kitchen & UNWRAPPED it so we could check it. Outstanding service.

I actually have had this delivered. It's the biggest I could get (height/width) without going to an American F/F
#2
If you want to see inside look at this one which is near identical. The ff200dp is more or less the same fridge freezer but more basic.

If you wanted a big freezer section why get a 60/40 split
You could of had a far bigger freezer section if you had bought a Beko CDA543FS for example and saved money
banned#4
I'd get this one Beko CDA565FW for the same sort of money
Fridge volume 161 litres
Freezer volume 164 litres

By comparestion yours is
Fridge volume 205 litres
Freezer volume 113 litres

So the Beko has nearly 50% more freezer space, now thats big
#5
Its not a compatible alternative & basic compared to the Hotpoint. I had looked at the Beko and I have no problem with the make but I would rather pay slightly more for a far bigger & better spec'd model. The Beko is 10.5 CU & the Hotpoint is 11.4 CU so way bigger. Beko H 182.0cm x W 54.0cm x D 59.5cm - Hotpoint H 200 x W 60 x D 65.5. Most importantly the Beko has NOT got a digital display that gives you loads of options. I also like the Hotpoint smart ice system. The reference about freezer size was in regards to my american fridge freezer. The freezer has a large part taken up by the ice maker. It is also VERY narrow so anything like most pizzas have to be put in at an angle taking up even more space. I reckon I can get at least 1 1/2 times in this freezer than my Samsung. The Hotpoint Freezer is bigger than the Beko. I have ACTUALLY seen these 2 SIDE BY SIDE. So instead of having a dig - go and have a look. I am not a brand snob but I would rather have the Hotpoint as it wasn't cheaper but represented BETTER value for money.

Instead of sniping & trying to better my deal with fridges that are NOT compatible. Why don't you go and find deals & ACTUALLY try listing them. The ONLY deal you've listed was a cracker.

Because if someone wanted a big freezer my suggestion is far better than yours
By non compatible do you mean because its better a better solution i shouldn't mention it?
HUKD's is not just about finding deals, Most of the time the threads are far from being worth mentioning let alone a deal, So people like me are need to seperate the wheat from the chaff

Absolute rubbish. This f/freezer is only 0.1cu bigger. It does not have the digital display or the same functions which was a main reason for buying. It's practically the same price inc delivery and that's only from a company I've never heard of (some other companies don't even have stock and most of them are FAR more expensive). It is also too narrow for me which was the main reason for getting a new f/freezer. This is a deal as you cannot buy a compatible Hotpoint for THIS price. Even the FF200 is far more expensive than this. WHY are you chosing to find f/freezers that have NO digital controls. WHY are you chosing to ingnore bigger brands. I would not go for a bigger freezer at the expense of fridge size. The size difference is NEGLIGIBLE. I have a Beko F/Freezer & washing machine in a buy to let and am well happy with them, but if the price is like for like I would always choose Hotpoint. I am not saying Hotpoint are any better, but I think most people would.

Go and find a Fridge Freezer with the SAME functions. If you can THEN go and list it. I hope you do & best of luck.

I would much, much, much rather go for the one they posted. I really couldn't care less about digital controls and the freezer space is more important to me than the fridge - which always seems to be way too big in comparison to freezer space to me. How can the size difference between 164 and 113 litres be negligible?

You specifically said you bought this because you wanted a big freezer, so they suggested a model with a bigger freezer. I have no idea why you are so hostile about it - did you personally design the fridge? Otherwise I can't see why you are so emotionally attached to the deal.

I suspect they didn't post it as this site is already full of hundreds of products that aren't particularly "hot deals" (anything with a discount seems to be posted nowadays) and they didn't want to add to it. This thread is likely to be looked at by anyone wanting a fridge freezer, so they posted it here.

That's fine but it is unfair to compare f/freezers on just size alone. The more compatible Hotpoint to these is the FF200DP/DX, but that is more expensive. This fridge freezer is far more expensive anywhere else with some companies charging over £600 with delivery, so if you looking for THIS type of fridge freezer it is worth considering. The difference is 0.1CU overall which is negligible and I took into account both fridge and freezer space. I totally agree that if these features were not important you may look at others, but for this size most are around £300 anyway & I'd still choose the Hotpoint.
I have not said I wanted a bigger freezer. I said I wanted a bigger freezer than the Samsung American I had. This is Hotpoint is ample, but I also need a big fridge so cannot sacrafice fridge size for more freezer size.

I just got a wee bit annoyed by someone who has posted one poor deal, sniping away with f/freezers which are not the same. At least have the decency to find a like for like.

Many thanks OP.
I defy anyone to find a "comparable" fridge freezer at this price. I know I couldn't - and have been researching for weeks.
Just ordered for a delivery on Wednesday.

It's just a wee bit frustrating when you do a bit of research, purchase an item and try to let others know about a good deal - then get sniped at for no good reason.

I'll be good :)

"The freezer size was useless. I wanted something big & this certainly fits the bill". You may not have wanted a freezer bigger than this one, but you moaned about a lack of freezer space in your last one so it's hardly an unreasonable assumption that you wanted a bigger freezer.

They weren't sniping, they gave an alternative. Size is the major differentiator between fridge freezers. As I said, I couldn't care less about digital controls and I doubt many people do (it's a fridge freezer, what would I even want to control about it?), so the freezer mentioned is comparable for a lot of people. They didn't say your deal was bad, they said the one they posted is better for those who want more freezer space. Which it is.

Freezer is tiny on this.

Most people want a bigger freezer compartment.

Cold.

Pun NOT intended I presume............

FFS what is it with people on here?

This deal is for a Hotpoint FF4200DP.
It's not for a Beko, a Bosch or a Smeg.
It is for this fridge.
Feel free to submit alternatives - the more info I can get the better.
But remember you are voting (or rather, should be voting), this deal on whether this instance of this machine is a good price. NOT whether you like it, prefer other makes, need a bigger freezer etc.
And as for making sweeping generalisations about what size freezer compartment other people require???????????????????
How is that a factor involved in whether or not this deal is hot or cold.
It strikes me that there needs to be some education by the mods on what the criteria should be for voting on this site. I cite the recent case (pun intended) of the Lost dvd boxset - two people got it for the deal price - and it went to over 1000 degrees.
Crazy.

Not a good price where compaired to other brands
Not a good product or they wouldn't of needed to reduce the price
Not a good op as they spat their dummy

It is amazing how Hotpoint managed to get FOUR good sized drawers in a 'tiny' freezer. This is over 6 1/2 ft tall. Wider & deeper than most fridge freezers. If it was tiny I would not have bought it. But go and have a look because it has a bigger fridge and bigger freezer than practically all the fridge freezers next to it.

Nooo, I always miss these deals, my fridge freezer just broke and I was looking for a good replacement. It's back up to £349.00 now.
