Reduced from around £9 to £2.25 this seemed like a good deal for a known brand (masterplug) of electrical product suppliers.
Very useful when using high risk equipment such as garden and Diy tools.
A small price to pay for protecting you and your family from a serious electric shock.

Should be nationwide as well from what I was told at the till.

what does this do?

edit: never mind. for those like me who didnt know here you go:

The RCD compares the amount of current leaving the device (to the appliance) against the current coming back in. If it detects a leak in the current i.e. electricity flowing through your body, it shuts off the circuit faster than the time it takes for the current to reach your heart.

This is a great find. I have a couple of these (one was inherited) but everyone who either has garden or home power tools should have one, regardless of price. You could do yourself and your family a great favour by stopping by and buying one.

If your consumer unit hasnt got a rcd on socket outlets then its time to get the sparky in and get a new consumer unit.

Most modern homes built 1989 onwards usually have rcd protection on sockets.

Hot! I posted this a couple of months ago with the £2.99 surge protectors. At the time I bought two safety adaptors and they appear to be working fine!

Yes, but to be absolutely sure, you need to stand in a tub of water under a tall tree :-D
