Hi, Good find and free collection in store.
Don't forget 5% discount code: launch05 (accepted for both deliveries and collection in store).
Voted hot.

These are a bargain. I bought the exact same one from Aldi a few months ago and it cost almost three times as much.

quidco?

can we order online and pick up same time in local store?

Spykey
quidco?

Hi Spykey, No, unfortunately no Quidco. Checked this morning.
Worth asking though.

Lots of special offers on the web-site but beware that items such as buy one get one free aren't being added up correctly at the checkout. Guess that e-mailing Wilkos CS asking them to manually refund the difference would do the trick though. 5% discount code makes some offers on there quite significant. Hadn't realised that they offer a collect in store service prior to registering with them this morning.

HTH.

can we order online and pick up same time in local store?

Hi Advance, Think that there's a 2-hour window for the store to fetch all of the items that you've ordered but don't quote on that. Delivery is chargeable collect in store is free and the 5% promo code is honored which is good in fairness to them. Normally discount codes for e-tailers with stores in the high-steet do not allow for discounts to be applied for collect in store (PCWorld and Currys don't for example).

I ordered three, I was going to choose store delivery so I do not have to pay for delivery to my home. Instead of chossing my store I went straight to the payment section. I completed all the details. I then got a email a recipet and order reference number for my order. But on there there was no store location so I phoned WilkinsonPlus and the operator told me that there is a fault on the website concerning the store delivery option. Therefore she told me they will send the order to my address for free! Buy Know guys!

the cheapest i found these near me were £10 , 3 delivered cost me £12 :whistling:

Hi, Went down to nearest Wilkinsons to collect the orders that I'd placed 2-3 hours ago and was told after quite a lot of confusion that orders aren't picked/packed in store but come from a central warehouse in 2-3 business working days (estimate).

This isn't clear on their web-site. However in fairness to them there's a glitch on their web-site this afternoon.

Spoke to a very understanding and helpful Lady in CS and she's said that they are giving feedback to their web-development team so that customers are aware that orders cannot be collected immediately in-store and also advising how the process works. This isn't the same sort of collect @ store service that PCWorld, Currys, Comet and Argos offer, Orders are picked and packed at a central warehouse, the store is invoiced and the goods are made available for collection approximately 2-3 days after the order has been placed. The store are meant to call customers once their orders are ready for collection.

The Lady in CS said that they're noticing that people are manually entering in their nearest store address, this is causing confusion and the system is rejecting the orders. They are however phoning customers to verify their orders rather than cancelling them entirely which is fair.

Good offer (voted hot).

yes indeed, first class! will thank them by email.

I put 3 in the Qty and for some reason it came up as 4, the code worked fine.
Made my payment and the collection day was blank when I received my confirmation email.
Do they send an email when they are ready for collection?, this website really needs some money spent on it.

Good deal - Heat added

The link takes you to an existing basket with One already in I think. The email I got was an order confirmation, that email implies that they will email again when order is picked.

Yes that will be the reason then. :)
My order status is Released for Despatch so I hope that email gives me a clue when it arrives in store for pickup :?

Did you check if they had any in the store? They had their own brand (non-masterplug) 6 way surge protectors for £2.99 when I was in my local store.
#29
Wilkinsons is a brilliant shop, most things are much cheaper there than elsewhere.

My local garden centre at Christmas stocks the same brand of decorations as Wilkinsons but charges roughly 75% more than Wilkinsons!! Its all identical packaging! :w00t:

I do think though some people refuse to go to Wilkinsons because of the snobbery issue. ;-)

That is a bargain price! Heat and Rep added!

Great just ordered 3 + standard delivery as it would cost more in fule to get to the store greate find A+

In my local branch their own brand surge protector was £2.99, the Masterplug version as in the original picture was more than twice as expensive. I hope it is not a mislead online and they'll try to substitute, as Wilkos are soooo cheap.

hi SpoonyBoy, No I'd not thought about checking whether they had their own brand in-store but did spot a non-masterplug 4/6 way training socket for cheaper but this wasn't surge protected from what I can remember.

Best Regards.

Be very careful!!!!

My local store - Great Yarmouth did not have any Masterplug ones but did have there own brand at £2.99 EXCEPT the blocks with the large sign saying surge protected were not surge protected but just ordinary 6 way blocks. I asked & they went & got me a surge protected one but goodness knows how many buyers think they have a surge protected block when they don't.

It says in large letters on the packaging that it is surge protected. Make sure that yours does.

PS They took down the sign until they had sorted the mess.
#35
They are delivering my order for free as I left out the delivery store details.
If its not the items as shown and described they can take it straight back!

Time to find out their returns policy, might be able to refuse the delivery at the door if they are the wrong items. Do Wilkinsons really think we are that stupid :viking:

They had big displays on the window for the extensions - for £2.99 they were definitely OWN BRAND and definitely not the ones in the picture.

Question is whether those who ordered on line can take back to a shop for a refund.
#39
ok..... just spoke to customer services, very apologetic, said they'll have the masterplug ones sent out for me and i'll get them tuesday and as a gesture of goodwill i can keep their own brand ones for no extra charge!

Very impressed :) i take back the bad words i said about them!

She said the only reason they should have sent these out instead was if they were out of stock of the masterplug ones, but I should have recieved a call to notify me that they would be swapping the items! Anyways whatever happens very impressed with customer service that isnt just **** off if you dont like it that most companies today go with! Will defo buy again from them :)

After receiving the wilko ones in error, I gave customer services a call. Seems that they have several products under the one SKU number at the warehouse. They couldn't arrange to repick the order as it would be a lucky dip as to what I received.

Stated as now pulled from the website. Got to keep the 2 wilko ones and a refund of postage.
