I've reserved one for pick-up in Reading :-D
#13
^^^ you connect the headphone jack on the back of the unit to the headphone jack on the bacvk of your computer ... this then enables you to plug your headphones in more conveniently, without diving round the back of your PC .... thats the theory anyway
#14
Sometimes you can find it difficult to get a decent bb connection once plugged into this.

All HUKD links go thru affiliates! That's how they pay for the site. I thought everyone knew this.

I don't think that it does. Are you sure you don't have spyware on your machine ? :)

could this be used to charge my ps3 pads, x360 pads and mobile phone?
all requiring power from standard usb ports.

i say this cause i once fried a motherboard in a pc cause i was using a usb port on it to charge my pda.
i certainly dont want to lessen the life of my ps3 or x360

I don't understand how you can fry a motherboard by charging something in the USB, it will just send out the standard power, if anything it should have just not charged, or charged slowly, not the Motherboard being fried :/
Also charging the pads won't effect the consoles...

i have reserved one of these at an argos extra store 20 miles away, are you saying they could now send this to my local argos extra store to collect?

God. What a hideous, over priced (even this deal!) piece of kit!
Anyone that would pay £50 for one of these needs locking up!

You think it looks bad now .....wait til you see it with all the wires hanging out and trailing all over the user's desk ..... :-D

it was over a long period of time. the constant power draw eventually caused a problem with the board.
i dont charge anything from my pc anymore.

I tripped something in my computer although I have a high quality PSU might have been a short circuit protection or something. I was trying to charge a DV camera battery using a home made charger I accidentally crossed the wires and computer went dead, my heart dropped but thankfully it started up again.

All PC USB ports include full over current monitoring and protection - it's part of the USB spec. Windows will even tell you if something is trying to draw too much power. If your motherboard failed, it was because it was a ****/sub standard motherboard, not because you were using it to charge a PDA.

HUKD does this anyway no? This is how the site makes money, although I think in this case it might be a referral link from the original poster though I cannot say!

Are you sure you know what you are talking about, it DOES redirect to 3-4 different sites until it gets to Argos..
