Mateus Rose currently on offer at Tesco for £3.26 which is £1.00 off the normal price. Buy 6 or more and their is an additional 25% off bringing the price down to £2.44 which seems pretty good to me.
This is available in store or online and is on the grocery site. It is more expensive on tesco wines
Plenty of vouchers out there as well so you might even get it a little cheaper or the voucher will at least cover the delivery.

Arrrggghhhh!!

There is so much better wine available - don't buy this!!!

If you want alcohol for alcohol's sake, acquire a taste for cheap cider.

It's worth going to some evening classes or something just to get a little knowledge regarding wine. Never has education been so rewarding:thumbsup:

This looks a great deal. My dear departed mum's favourite plonk.

Ignore those who have obviously so little experience of a savoury demure (and who post "arrrrgggghhh" as if it means something)

Thanks for this post :)

How do you get the additional 25% off?

It shows as £19.56 when I add 6 and go to checkout?

"arrrrgggghhh" means "FFS, this is horrible cra*p!!"

I hesitate to suggest to you that your dear departed mum should have drunk better wine, which may or may not have been better for her.

However, to everyone else I say AVOID!!!

the multibuy saving gets deducted after checkout. Their is a note when you checkout saying it is not shown but will be on your final bill

This is a perfectly drinkable summer wine. Not the best but definately not awful and good value for the price. Don't be put off by other peoples comments - give it a go yourself and make up your own mind. Thanks op

it's about as good as your spelling!!:p

No,no,no!!!

If you want cheap alcohol you have many options - far too many if you see what happens in town centres at the weekend.

Invest in a better wine. It will cost more but you will enjoy it, savour it and remember it.

After all, life's too short to waste it on drinking cheap wine!!!!

Mateus Rose is OK - it brings back memories of being a student.

Its just a pity they find wine racks such challenging concepts.

OK - I am sure you would find it tasted better if it had a more expensive price tag stuck on it.

In a restaurant in Perpignan we liked a Muscat de Rivesaltes that was 25 euros a bottle, we bought some to bring home and it varied between 12 -15 euros a bottle in vintners.

My car runs on vegetable oil and Lidl sells 15 litre boxes - so I stopped in Lille on the way back to top up - as we intended to stay in Belgium for an extra week.

The same wine was 4 euros - so and extra 12 came home.

More often in life people charge what they can get away with - which is not always what it is worth - snobs fuel this phenomenon.

I'm the last person to buy something simply because it's expensive. Yet I'm also the last person to buy something simply because it's cheap. In the case of wine, more often than not it's cheap because it's cra*p:whistling:

Doing some research, spending a little more and educating your taste will open up new avenues of pleasure regarding wine. So why on earth would you pay 25 euros for Muscat de Rivesaltes? A lot of it is not very well made, most being blends of Grenache most suitable for using to create some sort of pudding. You're much better off with a Beaumes-de-Venise Muscat:thumbsup:
