Spotted this today in my local Asda (Livingston, Scotland). It's the no-frills box set with just the three movies in their individual cases.

Great buy for anyone out there who still doesn't have this set :)

I was looking at buying this on HD-DVD for 4 times the price.

I think I'll just get this instead.
Good deal if you really want all three films.

Pretty big if :-)

First good, second atrocious, third didn't even reach that level.
I felt the second was the weakest. The third had some amazing fight/battle scenes and was well worth watching in surround sound just for this enjoyment. If you have a decent surround sound system at home, of course
I reckon I would just buy the first one separately for a fiver - I have no need for two more shiny coasters!
I think the last 2 are really underrated. The stories aren't great, and are definitely overcomplicated and underexplained, but the action is brilliant. The period in the second film from the fight around the walls in the Merovingians house to the end of the freeway chase is as good a prolonged period of action as any I can think of. The final fight between Neo and Smith is also absolutely unbelievable. Well, until they start flying around, but when they're on the floor its brilliant.

If you watch the last 2 films as what they are (ridiculously high budget kung-fu films) instead of what they could have been (ridiculously high budget kung-fu films with a great thought provoking story) they are excellent. Very entertaining.
Did anyone actually get this? :?
