yeh guaranteed to breakdown within 2 mins...in general, i dont buy cheap stuff as nearly all of it keeps breaking down.....whereas the opposite is true of more expensive stuff
all torches (x3), bike lights (x4 sets) from dealextreme have failed within 3 months light use, a cheap dvd players lasted 2 months light use, cheap didg cameras (2 hp, 1 casio, 1 goodmans, 3 unbranded) lasted no more than 3 months light use

Nearly every brand name Kettle iron hairdryer etc iv'e bought have lasted just beyond the warranty period ,So paying for brand names doesn't mean it will last any longer than a cheap one.

I find kettles as the No.1 unreliable item out there, whaterver brand you buy, but I don't find that the case with much else, generally middle priced branded electricals are good value, and work out to be the best thigns to buy. So called "premium" brands, especially premium models from premium brand are just plain expensive though, and are often a let-down.

If your kettle has bust, I can understand buying a cheapie as an emergency stand-in until you get a decent one at the right price, and it will then do as a spare - I can not even IMAGINE why you would wait in for one to be delivered though, as if it was some great bargain - when you can just pop into Tesco, ASDA or Argos for a real cheap one there for as low as £3.24 eg. http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/4231909/Trail/searchtext%3EKETTLE.htm

Link price is way off what you said in your post and therefore irrelevant. Free delivery from Dixons is a good point and worth mentioning.

Your post is totally irrelevant........ it is now MONTHS since my post!
Of course prices have changed in the meantime!

Every weekend the same..... old posts resurrected for no good reason :-(
