Welcome to HUKD :)
This has been around for ages, I think it's Currys who have an unlock code on their Website for this making it multi-region.

Welcome to HUKD deeno, but please remember to include postage costs in deal prices unless they are available on the high street.

Once you add the £4.99 postage, then you would be better off getting either one from amazon for £19.99 delivered (already multi-region), or a Tesco Value one instore for £17.74 - details of how to make that multi-regional here

I've said it before and I'll say it again, don't touch Matsui products!

Say what you like, as many times as you like. :giggle: :giggle:
I've had no problems with any Matsui products I've bought.

Just picked up mine from currys locally needed a little one for my son, its very compact, great for a kids room, and by the way it has 1 scart, not none as the spec above suggests presumeably from the website. Havent yet had a good go with it, just tested but it seems good, and for this price who is complaining, I am not  voted hot and rep given

I would apprieciate you telling me where please, as i cant find it anywhere where they would have that information...... although i could be having a blonde moment. I would love to make this multi-region.

Nothing wrong with Matsui products. I have many of them and they are all reliable. This DVD player is excellent, with many features my dearer player does not have.

Well done Deeno fed up with add postage when everyone knows it is a high street shop. If you are going to buy it over the internet that`s your cost. Think half the time it`s to get more posts than be helpful

 Thanks for replying, dont worry about it as after having a good play with it last night I have a funny feeling that it is anyway, it says region 2 on the box but there is an option in settings to change it to NTSC or whatever it is as well as another 1 or 2, ( sorry not technical minded ) also it plays all i have including the "dodgy ones" ... I havent found 1 it doesnt yet.

By the way if it is of any interest to anyone, this is the same as the tesco value one that is about at a simular price.

Also there is one small drawback with this model, the disc draw is very light and slightly flimsy, but what do you expect for this price, I am happy ( or should I say my son is ), a very sweet little machine.

As are pcworld and the link, but they don't all sell the same items ;-)

...and apparently even when they do the prices can differ
#16
Ah but currys and dixons usually do

I agree. My first CD player was Matsui - that was over 20 years ago! Can't be a bad brand to have been round that long...
