Jump to unread Post a CommentPersonally, I hated it. I'm a big Rockstar fan, but this, in my opinion, is their worst game yet. The Story felt boring and the gameplay can be pretty boring too. If you've ever played a Metal Gear Game and thought they overused cutscenes, then this will drive you insane. It's pretty much shootout, cutscene, shootout, cutscene etc throughout the game.
On a more positive note, the multiplayer is quite fun. Overall though, I think this is very much a marmite game, you'll either love it or you will hate it.

Have to agree. I'm playing on the PC (unsure if console is the same), but has far too many unskipable cutscenes - even if you want to play the arcade mode, you have to watch the majority of cutscenes again while it loads.
Multiplayer is fun but at launch was infested with cheaters. Not played since but believe that RockStar have introduced some kind of cheat referral system.
Keen to see what DLC they'll be releasing. Hear some of it will be co-op also.

I never played a max Payne game before and I have to say the game is a good game, I found the story enjoyable and cuts scenes are not boring, they fit in well with everything but if your one of those cod players with a attention span of a baby, then the game ain't for you, anyways the game has recieved many great reviews, make sure to check them out.

Just finished it today on PS3 and to be honest I was willing it to finish. As someone else said it's just cutscene, shoot some guys ad infinitum and the way Max moved felt quite PS2 to me. Compare this to a game like Deus Ex : HE and it would be left wanting. The only redeeming features I can think of are the sound and there are no loading screens which was welcome but it is terribly one dimensional.
I didn't play the previous two games so can't compare it to them

This maybe the cheapest price but it hasnt actually dropped in price you have to use a voucher which only reduces it by £3

However i thoroughly enjoyed this game, deserves the 9 ign gave it. Havent played multiplayer yet.
P.S. The graphics at ultra high on PC are simply stunning, best rockstar graphics ive seen yet e.g. the favela scene.
