  Please watch a video or try a demo of this game before buying it. I bought it in the last sale and I must have had rose tinted glasses as the game looked and played really badly compared to what my modern fingers are used to.

  I think that's the way with a lot of last gen stuff, I bought KOTOR in a Steam sale a couple of years ago and I couldn't even make it out of the first section, it looks and handles terribly compared with modern alternatives.
  
  Oddly the GTA's have managed to hold up quite well as have a few others but mechanically a lot of last gen games were pretty woeful on the whole.

  Two of the best games of their time, real game-changers! Shame about the previous comments about playability.. I can't even play Max Payne 3 because of the ridiculous system requirements! :(

  Rockstar are terrible at optimizing PC releases for some reason. A lot of machines can handle Crysis 1 and 2 with no problems but then struggle with GTA 4 and LA Noire.

  It's not that bad is it? On paper the specs required seem to be really high but I maxed this game out on a 4890. The only thing it was missing was DX11 but I can live with that.

  This game doesn't need a 4890 to run. A 4890 will EASILLY run this on max settings...

  I'd hold off on Max Payne 3 until its in a steam sale. You spend so much time just sitting and watching cut scenes, it is more like 80% movie and the rest, shoot and run. Definitely not worth the present price
