Looks all good apart from the fact its a push one, they seem to get damaged a lot easier. H+R left.

Mind £2.99 for Integral ones with a movie in Gamestation if you have one near you. I picked up 2 yesterday

PS heat anyway as probably more likely to get one in Tesco and a better brand..

Do tell?

Had a look over at Gamestation (online) and saw this type of thing:

OK found the thread

I had one of these a few months ago (at least I think it was one of these!). It comes formatted with two partitions which the computer sees as two separate drives, unfortunately you cannot change this. I emailed Maxell who confirmed it was impossible to make into one. No big deal for most people but thought I'd mention it!

You tried formatting in windows disk management (paste diskmgmt.msc into run or the search box), failing that you could stick ubuntu, or any linux really that has gparted, onto a spare usb or CD.
Disk management is pretty good though (in Vista and w7 at least), I was able to format my old PS3 HDD with it and remove a hidden partition on my laptops old HDD.

The customer service people are usually a bit hopeless.

Not any in store at Coventry Arena Park, is this a store specific offer as they are 9.99 on the website?
#16
I know it's in at least 3 different Tesco stores. I wonder if Coventry was out of stock or just don't do it at all?

It is not a formatting issue. The second partition with the encryption software is hardcoded into the stick's firmware. You would need reprogramming software to be able to remove it. If you trawl the relevant Chinese or Russian forums you might find what you need. There is also a fair chance that you would wreck your flash drive in the process.

Here's the software to turn this into a bog standard USB drive without the daft security sector Clicky. I've used it to convert the four that I bought with zero problems (needed 4 drives, not being greedy just buying the 4 I needed at a good price).

It took me hours of trawling forums to finally find this, it's just not possible to remove this with Windows 7 disc management tools.
