My mistake but I only found this place maybe 2 weeks ago.

First off blaser welcome to hotukdeals.

Harsh as that deal is from more than a month ago (see help information available)

Couldn't agree more

"Any thread over one month old would be fair enough to receive a repost if there is a price drop or not, as this allows newer members to receive notification of that deal. With site membership increasing as fast as it is, that would become more significant for new users, as it would be unlikely for them to easily stumble across a month old thread."

Still around, thanks OP :)

Nice price for 100, but non-printable, whereas they also do 50 TDK printable dvd+r for £7.99, less Quidco.
#11
Good price that.

Are these things reliable?

mine came today top bombing these for the price

No they suck, have PI Failures all over the place, avoid these if you value your data! (and no its not my drive before anyone asks, burns verbs and ty yuden discs with almost perfect nero scores)

have used approx 75 of these so far , not a coaster in sight ;-)

The search on this site is hopeless, I had to trawl back 5 pages the other day to find the Still Game dvd boxset.

Stick it 'Still Game DVD Boxset' in the search box, it doesn't come up and I knew it was there. If you were looking for something you didn't know was there it would be even harder.

Yep, but try using those discs in 18 months time and see how many problems you get.. these are awful awful discs..

yes but that's no indication of quality, better of spending the extra on verbs/ty if you value what you're backing up......of course if you don't care its no problem.

I've used cheap discs for years, 99% of them still work as well as the day they were written.
#19
Nothing wrong with cheap discs, not slating these for being cheap, slating them for being awful quality.. it should be an informed decision when buying stuff and these discs are not great even for the money..
#20
Nothing wrong with these discs what-so-ever. They use the new Ritek F1 dye which many regard as a decent dye. Here is a disc scan of these exact discs (bought when the offer was last posted)

(Burnt on a Writemaster and scanned on an NEC drive)

These are actually very good quality disks. See the 1st four reviews here: http://media.bitburners.com/en/mediabase/maxell__dvd_r_16x_763_1/

Note: the 1st review only gets 3 stars BUT this is because the test forces a burn at 18x, not the recommended 16x. Of the 3 reviews burn at usual speeds there is a 4 star and 2 reviews at 5 stars

I'd recommend anyone thinking of buying these do some research first and make their own minds up. Longevity seems to be the main concern.

I bought 25 +Rs to try and I've had a couple of failures; that hasn't happened in a long time, even when trying other cheap discs.
#23
Ive had 200 of these and 1 coaster, and that was probably my fault for opening a program while burning :(
Overall I highly rate them, and as you can see above others do to.
Voted HOT.

just got 100 of these and already had 4 coasters out of 11 disks.

AWFUL

I never get coasters on other disks.
