Same here, bought them, not working on my DVD recorder. Each disc records for only 8secs then says error. I use Wharfedale DVD if it makes any difference, reviews on Play suggest good discs but I've not had one work yet.

Some DVD Recorders will only accept DVD+Rs or DVD-Rs which may be the reason they will not record. I personally have had more failures with Maxell and Memorex DVDs than any other makes but I tend to stick with TDK, Sony or Verbatim discs which work virtually every time in my PC, laptop and DVD recorder, and in my opinion are well worth paying the little bit extra for.

God point, I actually bought DVD+R version of this deal. I have used DVD+R succesfully on my machine - DataWrite I think they were - about 6 coasters out of 50pk. Waiting for pay day now to but some Verbatim and see how they go.

Same here. I probably burn maybe ten discs a week across various PCs and TV recorders. Cannot remember the last coaster I had - it's possibly literally years.
I don't use any particular brand, just as long as it's a recognised brand, although I suspect I could use any old tosh as long as it wasn't questionable.

This deal seems great if looking to have discs delivered rather than pick-up from store, but it is also competitive with store prices.

I don't know who makes those Maxell disks, but it is worth to remember that only a handful of manufactorers make discs, which are sold under 100's of different labels.

Always update your writers to the latest firmware because discs technology changes and old firmware can cause problems. If you have problems with a particular disc, update your weiter's firmware before you throw them out.

They work fine on Wii, I found that I had to burn at 4x (or less) for them to play OK.
