I know that they're DVD-RW but I've never found any DVDs better / more reliable than the Sony 50 pack that they sell on Play which are currently only 8.99 delivered: http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/904943/Sony-16x-DVD-R-Recordable-50pk/Product.html. These are DVD-R though.

Yes, but the brand does matter. I find Maxell are much less reliable than Sony discs. It's worth paying extra to save yourself time reburning because of failures!

Cheers for the tip. I've never had a failed burn so haven't given consideration to brand before... you watch, now I've said that I bet my next disc fails!

Same I have sony discs and they have never failed me but some other make did cheers for tip:)
