Could be wrong but thought this was a good price for 5 Camcorder DV tapes. Been tracking this item for ages and it hasn't been this cheap. Stock up for the holidays.....not that you can go anywhere.

Not sure how important your video footage is to you but be wary of swapping tapes from different manufacturers as they use different lubricants and this can damage your record and play head.
It's not necessary to use the tape from your brand of cam but it is best to stick with the same brand.
#21
Expired?
£6.59 now.

Yes looks like Amazon stock has all gone now.
#24
Yeah, but the sony ones are still 3.5, ive ordered 2! recently paid 19.99 at argos!
#25
You should really always use the same brand of tape.

Amazon has Sony Premium MiniDV tapes at £3.50 for 5, which is an excellent price and a better tape IMHO.

#28
Just ordered 5 packs for a £10. Brilliant. Needs to be unexpired. H&R added.
#29

Hot Hot Hot!!!!
Who expired it? just ordered!
#31
Just ordered a batch - hope they are mini-DV though.
The picture and description can imply they are DV cassette tapes; but underneath is the Mini-DV logo.

DV cassette tapes come in formats DVCAM, DVCPRO, and DVCPRO 4:2:2 but the actual size of tape is the same - the cassette housing is different to miniDV.

As the package shows the miniDV logo at the bottom, together with the consumer camcorder symbol (that picture symbol is DEFINITELY NOT suggesting a professional camcorder!) they should be mini-DV ; otherwise back to Amazon they go.

Ordered 4 packs, only 2 packs left, be quick.

I know you're not supposed to switch brands, but we've only used Sony tapes in our sony camera, but only ever used it for about 5 hours and not for at least a year, so if I switch exclusively to these it will be fine right?

err...no it wont be fine. so you'd be best off selling the tapes aquired at the bargain price of 3 squids to me. :p

p.s. only kidding about them not being ok- i dunno abt that one. but if it helps, i have used sony in t'past and use maxell very regularly now.. never seemed a prob for me- but i didn't know of this rule of not switching brands etc.

They still do tapes??? It's the age of HDD or memory stick camcorders!!!
