Maxi-Cosi Axiss Tango Red Group 1 Car Seat (9mths to 4 years approx.or 9-18 kgs)

* The Maxi-Cosi Axiss with it's rotating feature is truly revolutionary
* Simply turn the car seat and lift your child into or out of the Maxi-Cosi Axiss from the passenger door within seconds
* No twisting, stretching or working in a small space
* Go out and have fun with your child!

This is an excellent price for this car seat, I've jhust ordered one for my son - cheapest I've seen! I like the idea of this seat rotating to make taking your child in and out of the car easier.

If this is anything like the BebeConfort Axiss then this will be fab. My son is 2 1/2 and still using ours, its saved my back no end and is a brilliant seat. Check out reviews first, but it looks very similar to the BebeConfort one :)

Be careful to understand Amazon's marketing of RRP rather than "was" prices.
This item never was £210. £210 is the alleged RRP.
It "was" £168.98 around Christmas, so Amazon are now offering a saving of around a fiver.

It's still the cheapest price I've seen for this seat in the couple of months I've been checking so thought I would share! Most other places offer it for around £189.99.

Cheapest i've seen any seat of this kind too. The Axiss are always pretty expensive around £200 mark

Which review:

Designed for children weighing between 9-18kg (weight category I, approximately one to four years in age), the Bébé Confort Axiss child car seat provides reasonable protection in both side and head-on collisions. However it isnt quite up to the higher safety standards of our Best Buys.

Its a forward facing model that, when fitted correctly, sits firmly in the car, but its quite a heavy seat and this makes installation that little bit harder. The chair has been designed to make incorrect installation more difficult, but while this is reasonably effective, great care should always be taken when fitting any child seat, as European surveys suggest that between 60% and 80% of child car seats are incorrectly fitted, and this dramatically reduces the effectiveness of the seat, so great care should always be taken.

Putting the child in the seat is straight forward, due to the novel design which allows the seat to rotate through 90 degrees so it faces the side of the car. Buckling-up is straightforward and the routing of the adult seatbelt through the guides is hassle free. The leg support provided makes the seat more comfortable for the child, but the head support is not great for larger children, and this is not only a comfort issue but a safety concern too.

The harness can be adjusted without having to undo the seatbelt fixings, and the time that this saves can add up with rapidly growing children. The view for the child is pretty good, the instructions are clear and easy to follow, and the seat cover can easily be removed and washed.

Pros: Firm fitting, easily adjustable harness, machine-washable cover

Cons: Inadequate head support for larger children

"Maxi Cosi Axiss" it says in the title. I dont know why it says differently in the review text.

Picture looks the same but different colour scheme.

It used to be Bebe Confort but now seems to be Maxi-Cosi. Probably a branding or take over issue.

Looked at these and didn't buy since it wasn't ISOFIX. Apart from that a lot going for it and a good price.

Voted hot.

I dithered about buying this when it was £143 at amazon a couple of months back, and have regretted it ever since.

This is a good price - but I'm still holding out to find it under £150!

If people are looking for Isofix seats, the Priorifix is only £200 at John Lewis and Mothercare - which is pretty good for that seat.

bebe confort car seats and pushchairs have been re-branded in the UK under Maxi Cosi as both brands are owned by Dorel so its the same car seat just has a new name!! x
