The Maxi Cosi CabrioFix is possibly the most popular 0+ car seat going but the rather handy ISOFIX base costs more than the seat!!

Been looking around for a while and whilst in John Lewis in Cribs Causeway (Bristol) noticed them priced on the shelf at £78, asked them to check as even they didn't think that was right.. turns out it's being sold within range of that store for that price so they match it on the shelf.

Being sold at Tesco Direct for £78.29 so should be available at most John Lewis at £78.

To confirm, this is the ISOFIX base EasyFix, not the non-ISOFIX EasyBase.

Great price! Just a word of warning - this is a HEAVY item, so make sure you don't plan on walking around with it before heading back home. (This is the voice of experience, I picked mine up in central London on my lunch-break when Peppermint had a discount voucher offer, then had to carry it all over the tube back to the office, then a 20 min walk from the office to Waterloo...as a plus, my arms are now 3 inches longer :-D)

Check ebay.

I would never buy used car seat for my baby but on the other hand would never buy new base, not worth the money. Used is perfectly fine.

True, and I've been keeping an eye on there for a while... used seem to go around £50ish but I figured I'd rather have one that's not had other kids puke over it for 9 months etc.!! Oh, and most wanted collection due to the size/weight of the base I spotted.

TBH, if the price of these hadn't come down then we'd have gone for used base but for a little bit more you can have a nice new one :)

Well if you wouldn't use a used car seat why the hell would you use a used base - it could have been in an accident aswell and you would never know. Personally would never use either used.

This also isn't really a John Lewis Deal, the deal is from the original shop selling it at that price.

In all fairness the price was actually labelled on the shelf as £78.00 (sorry, forgot to take a picture) so perhaps me calling it "price match" is incorrect. It's 29p more with Tesco Direct so this is, currently, the cheapest deal on a Maxi-Cosi EasyFix

agreed with earlier noter - if yo wouldn't buy a second hand car seat why the hell would you buy a second hand base - the base is what's keeping the seat in place and if that's been in an accident before it's as good as useless. tssk to the people both selling used and buying used.
