Argos Description:
50kg weights set includes:
6 x 1.25kg vinyl weight plate.
4 x 2.5kg vinyl weight plate.
6 x 5kg vinyl weight plate.
2 chrome dumbbell handles with spinlock collars.
1 chrome barbell with spinlock collars.

I haven't bought this set yet but I am looking to buy a weight set and probably it will be this one.
I checked around Luton and there are still in stock.

I know it's better to buy an iron cast set but, someone may be in a tight budget (like me).

RRP was 69.99

I tried to find this set or a similar one online but this is the cheapest.

I hope this helps someone to save some money.

Reserve and collect only.

Can someone add a picture because I cannot make it work? thanks in advance.

Cheaper initial outlay here: Tesco Extra, hotukd

Start off with dumbells + 2x5kg at £15. You will feel the burn already! If you really need a barbell then you can get the same weight here for £30 and find a £10 barbell elsewhere, assuming you have a bench for it.

Only 5kg (&2.5kg) plates are in sale, at £2.50 each. But cheaper than your rate of £40/50kg = £0.80/kg, mine are £0.50/kg and the barbells can be had for £5 or less if bought as part of the £10 deal for 15kg. Had them in 2 stores near me last Saturday.

You may get laughed at for suggesting vinnies on here though:

In their defence, vinyl discs are quieter and don't 'clink'.

LoL, in reply back. You really cant add to many of these plates for dumbells. If you put some towels on the floor, this would reduce the sound of the impact that was given off.

Good for doing arm workouts, some shoulders but next to useless for legs, back and chest due to the light weight. Half tempted to get some simply to have some for when I cannot get to the gym.
