#2
We don't have Aldi in NI, anyone know of any similar deals online?
#3
Looks a good unit for under forty quid
#4
Hot!
#5
Good deal.
#6
does it have a CD drive?
#7
No cd drive in these .
#8
It will properly sound terrible but that is very cheap for a bluetooth head unit, no CD drive but USB and SD make up for that.
Good deal.
#9
who needs a cd drive with one of these

I've got the same radio (Although Branded NEKA) which I bought off ebay a while back. The seller also listed it as A2DP
Link to the item I bought for the same price. Free delivery: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300757580357&ssPageName=ADME:X:AAQ:GB:1123

So.. A small review :D

The display is no as pictured. There are no colours, only white illumination (Which, imho, looks much nicer)
Bluetooth is a bit sketchy when connecting. Once connected it works perfectly, but usually I have to power the radio off and on again to get it to connect to my phone.
Could be a problem with my Android Phone. Although both my Xperia Z and Nexus 4 have had the same issue

The annoying "BLEEP" sound when increasing / decreasing the volume or pressing ANYTHING can be turned off! (It may sound like a small feature but.. A lot of these cheap radios don't give you the option)
Bluetooth hands free isn't too good. Buy this if your looking for a Bluetooth Music Player :{

Hope this helps

#14
was gonna get one when lidl were doing something like this a while back, looked into how to remove my existing radio........

First remove dashboard..... Don't think so... :(

Will this only be available on the 17th to buy or can it be picked up already?

Voted HOT! Just what I was looking for and half the price of the majority out there!
#16
nice

It must have a CD drive - follow the link and look at the picture you'll see it says 'CD, CD-R, CD-RW AND MP3 PLAYBACK'.
I'm really tempted with this, good post OP :)

Hot on price but 4x25w and Maxtek. Probably fine for talk radio and pop music so basically for people who dont like music this is a deal.

I reckon the CD drive bit is a typo its not listed underneath in features and having no slot at the front really cant see it being the flipdown type at this price.

I second this. Even though it's branded differently than the one I own I'm sure its identical..

The only thing under the face is the face connector (_;)

Sorry but who are 'Maxtek'?!
#22
boooo no mw! need my 5live! otherwise good find!
#23
definitely NO CD player, it's a 'deckless' unit and isn't available until 17/10, good price still, had my eye on the deal for nearly two weeks but limited availability.

On second thought, 4 X 25 watts isn't good at all. All stereos are at least 4 X 50w nowadays :/

If it's a deal breaker, yo could connect it to your phone and listen to 5live through tune in radio?
#26
If you look at the picture it says CD playback plus there is an CD shown in the top right of the LCD display. Got the last one Aldi sold and the fascia flipped down to insert CD. Love mine.

Erm, it says "AM/FM radio tuner with RDS" in the product description.

Definately has a cd drive, had one for the last few years, the front is indeed flip down and removeable as that's where the sd card goes also.

Full colour display which is a little annoying but sounds good and I guess that's where it matters.

Comes with a remote control and can be used as bluetooth hands free or to stream music (well any audio) from a mobile.

I've got one of these and can confirm it does have a CD player.
Simply press the button in the top-right corner (that says OPEN) and you get access to the CD drive slot and SD card slot.

The same button also allows you to remove the facia. The facia can then be placed in the supplied carry case.

Why would you want a remote control for a car stereo. Surely you can reach it
#31
The remote can be handy if you install it in a camper van or similar which is what we have done with a previous model. No complaints about ours and we have had a few years now
#32
Are AM/FM transmissions going to be turned off soon and we just have DAB or are these reports just scare mongering?

What's the sound quality n amplification/high-volume like? 25 watts per speaker just doesn't seem enough on paper.
#34
i got a similar one from amazon for 72£...So its hot..
#35
Are car radios universal ?
Got a 99 Corsa which has basic radio and tape slot and doesn't always connect with the dash visually and don't want to buy unnecessarily.

If you read the description it tells you this unit does not have a CD player, why don't people read the post properly?
#37
How do you check it's compatibility with Cars, I have got a Honda Civic '03?
#38
I might buy one of these just so we can settle whether or not this contains a CD player.
#39
How easy is it to install in a HONDA CIVIC 53 model, any guides please.
Thanks

Aldi have changed the description on their website, it did say CD, CDR, MP3 player.
Now it just says MP3 player so its looking like no CD player
