oh, and delivery should be included in your final price.
Zurich, your comments are not fair. Delivery at Scan is only free for some people. Likewise, at ebuyer, delivery is (still?) free for orders over £50 or so. The price of this drive is marginally less than the two you posted.

What I am not sure about is whether Maxtor are still having problems with reliability of their drives? It's normally worth spending a bit more for reliability. Just as an example, I've had 3 Samsungs that have died, and even though I use RAID 1 so don't lose any data, it's still a pain to RMA them.
on the contrary my comments were entirely fair. anyone can get free delivery at scan, its a simple matter of posting on either hexus or avforums. delivery at ebuyer might be free for orders over £50 but then you're spending £50 not £35.

like you say RMAing is a pain so why take more of a risk by buying a maxtor.

By the way scan have on their today only page 500gb western digital blue and green for £35.36 and £35.64 respectivley.

anyone can get free delivery at scan, its a simple matter of posting on either hexus or avforums

You have to do about 50 posts now? So, it's crazy to say that Scan is post-free for most people.

The Aria deal looks good though. ^.^
