these were the ones on sale in sainsburys for £20.

A bargain, but not sure I'd risk any more cash on maxtor stuff to be honest.

Was also this price, if not less is tesco, so cant vote hot sorry.

Yes, but the deal is about the price TODAY, not yesterday. Using your theory should we not vote lower fuel prices as hot coz they were cheaper a month ago? :)

I can't find this maxtor drive anywhere else for less.

not sure I'd risk any more cash on maxtor stuff to be honest.
WHY?

Used Maxtors for years at home and work, never a problem - similar fail rates to any other manufacturers. Returns never an issue.

I will never understand people who vote deals cold because the price was cheaper a few months ago, it should be based on the prices at the time of posting not what they were!!!

Just checked the whole HotUKDeals website for this item, and the cheapes online price I can find was£48 for this item, 3 months ago....

Tesco did sell them off in shop for £25 about 5 months ago (But that was only one shop in Nottingham)

Also cant understand how some deals that are only for one shop like the tesco one above can get hot feedback, surely it is not a great deal if it is not available to everyone... at least this one is an online deal...

Its like me posting that my corner shop has these in for £10, whats the point when not everyone can get access to them??

Totally agree, pity there's not a separate forum for the very specific deals which can only be had by pure chance or luck.

Seems a better deal, 640gb Esata/Firewire & free delivery for £6 more ?

Yup better deal, 16mb cache too ... 5 year warranty is good, though I can't see many people claiming on it after a few years :)
