This was sent in the email for those who are members with Amazon. The review which is on Amazon does not really entice me to pull out the good old reliable bank card but at this price you cant go wrong!
#6
Voted hot - great price!
#7
Good price but the reviews for this are mediocre, maybe worth spending a few more pounds for a better one.
#8
Anyone know if this is compatable with Vista?
Thanks
#9
great price hywen thanks :)

Hot hot hot

Nice one.

Oh and I have never had any reliability issues with maxtor so I tend to ignore what others say about them
#11
Ugly, no power switch, works on Vista (yet to find an external HD that didnt lol), worth £70 if you need the storage and can hide it somewhere.

Oh and Moneyspinning, i'm NOT buying this one as my supply is now sufficient, just on the offchance you read this;-) :whistling: :giggle:

or even crazier: a USB hub

or even crazier: a USB hub

True, but not really a good idea to limit external drives by sharing a single wire to the PC. Also cards tend to actually be cheaper than a half decent hub for some unknown reason:?

DONT BUY MAXTOR HARD DRIVES!!!

I'm never buying a single maxtor product again after the first external hard drive I bought from them died ...

so thats one out of how many sold?....if we apply that logic to everything...."the first one I bought died"....nothing would sell...cars, tvs, PCs from Currys....lol....everyone can have a story to tell....perhaps more information would be useful....e.g. died out of the box, after 3mths, 6 mths....did you return to seller, did you get an immediate refund, did you get a replacement?......

more information can help others make an informed choice....one liners arenn't much use to anyone....e.g.

phantom - Fictitious; nonexistent

I would never believe anything said by someone called the phantom...get my drift ;-)

Same thing happened to me, spent hours trying to install my new maxtor only to realise it was doa, never had that with any other make hd.;-)

you wouldnt limit them, usb2 is way fast enough to handle 4+ drives on one cable.
#27
Yeap maxtor drives are super reliable!
#28
Well I'm buying this! I'm down to my last GB on my internal HD after discovering the world of torrents!

Thanks a lot.
