bought one of these from Worcester Sainsburys. Feels very solid, not like the Verbatim ones.
Only problem is, they are preformated to ntfs. I wanted to use it with a dvd player that has a usb input for video files, but that only reads fat32. There seems to be no option in XP or Vista to reformat this to fat32.
Will do for my video editing though, I need ntfs for that.

Seems a good price if you want an external HDD for £30.00 -- Good deal for the item, however i would perfer to spend a little bit more and get more than double the storage..

Use Easeus and format it to FAT32.

Then you'll have a 3.5" drive with a separate power supply.

it is spelt....C...E...N...T...R...E ! CENTRE !

sorry, just one of those words that when spelt incorrectly, annoys the hell out of me.

is this a portable or desktop drive?

toadoftoadhall, you can format any external drive to FAT32 or NTFS with Windows. Right-click on the drive letter and choose between FAT 32 or NTFS.

with all due respect the above word you have commmented on are both accepted or if you'd like ACCEPTABLE, CENTER being more widely used in modern language. am i feeling arrogance or ignorance on your comment?

Surely if you're in Britain you should use the local language?

Here in the United Kingdom we communicate using the English language. I do believe the word is centre. Strikes me your post displays some ignorance on your part!
PS Your grammar is very poor.

As stated in other posts - the English spelling is Centre.

In the USA they do spell this particular word differently (they can do what they like, which they normally do anyway!). However, they do not use or speak English. Yes, something similar, but not English

I must agree on the CENTRE spelling as it annoys me too. What I'm more concerned about however is that my son came hom from school with a certificate for "good BEHAVIOR" ! Granted it was a pre printed bought from ebay or something number , but still , from school , from a teacher (who in all other ways seems quite intelligent) , in Scotland ! I ask you ?! Anyway , hot deal and heat added , just wish I lived in Leeds . Well that's a lie , I just wish it was in my local Sainsbury's , seems less hassle than moving house . :-D
