Just gne through to the link and noticed that the small text says '3.5' inch drive, the 500gb one also states 3.5...........any ideas anyone before we all go buying a 3.5" drive expecting something more portable?
#2
Yeah. £5 more for an extra 250gb.
#3
yea it says 2.5" in the title but in the spec it says Hard Drive Size 3.5"

what you think?

The dimensions and accessories are correct for a 2.5" drive

I am interested in the 500gb version - do any of you guys know whether it has to be connected to an external power supply or can it run off the USB port ? Is this Western Digital much better in terms of reliability and speed ?

Thanks

Comes with its own power supply. I bought one of these a few weeks back and really happy with it.

Thanks for that - the power supply that it comes with - does need to be plugged on to a external power supply or does it need to be plugged on to a usb port ( meaning 2 usb ports - one for the connection and one for power supply)

thanks

dunno when it will be available, but 500gb one is much bargain! Can anyone reconfirm whether it is 2.5" or 3.5''?? Cheers :)
