Wonder kinda of drive is inside, dont mind buying one and ripping out the drive to use as internal. I HATE usb external drive. Love internal and networkdrives.

I heard these have had lots of problems with backing up etc, so not sure whether to get one or not. I might just buy 2 x 500gb

Awesome price and great new website for us in UK

Great price. Was about to buy a 500GB drive to add to my NAS box. This will do the job nicely. Thanks!

That's a stunning price including delivery. Never had a problem with a Maxtor drive (or any other brand for that matter).

Was after one of these but will go for the plus versio for firewire - usb 2 is too slow to boot from, etc.
Check returns policy if a fault develops - post 14 days, they leave you to deal with the manufacturer!

A little cumbersome - I'd prefer to buy from somewhere like Amazon - excellent customer service in my experience when it comes to returns of any sort.

Seems like a good deal too as it has a 5 year warranty and has a better review score than the Maxtor. Seagate is a good make too and only £2quid dearer.

Good price but be warned this is Maxtor the worse company for drives.

It should be a seagate without the 5 year warranty, ive never had a problem with maxtor drives but others have.

Does this come with external power supply or is it powered via usb?

Does anyone know if I can get a 1TB powered through usb only?

Shouldn't be expired, still goes to checkout at OP's price...
