Against all odds and every one of your better senses, this is actually brilliant - just like a curry from the Chinese takeaway. I wouldn't have believed it myself till someone forced me to try it.

Perfect for chips, not sure if i would have it in a curry but i prefer a tikka or a home made curry

I buy Mayflower chips with curry sauce on for when I'm feeling lazy. It's good curry sauce.Fulton Foods and Heron also sell quite a few other Mayflower products.

I also buy this brand too, mainly the original flavour, it lasts ages and usually pay around £1.25 in the Chinese mini mart shops.

This is not strictly a deal, since farmfoods have been selling it at £1 for at least 10 - 15 years. If you want an alternative that is even more 'genuine' (even closer to takeaway style), then look out for Yeung's Chinese Curry Sauce Mix. Tesco and Morrisons sell it for approx. £1.49 (haven't ever seen it in Asda/Sainsburys). Also sold in loads of local corner shops, but usually a little more expensive. As with this one, mix with cold water, stir until thickened, add a chopped onion and some chicken, and you have your own homemade Chinese curry

MayKWay is another alternative that tastes just like the real thing bust slightly more expensive. I only ever seem to see it in Morrisons.

Agreed this is cheaper deal but its been this price since "forever" But you can make a very decent curry out of it :)

i have used this for ages and recommended it to loads of people. It makes a perfect Chinese curry, better than most restaurants or takeaways I have tried. I add a spoonful of hot curry powder into the medium one for an extra kick, found the hot one itself to be just to hot for the rest of the family. Use the whole packet with a pack of chicken fillets cut up and two or three onions. Eat what you need and the rest freezes perfectly. Very easy tasty meal made.

I seen this product in home bargains two weeks ago for 49p but not sure if it was on a special offer. Great sauce been using this for my chicken curry for last year.

I also agree we have stopped having Chinese or other takeaways since I have been following slimming world and we discovered this instead, we have this on a Saturday night and it does indeed taste like a proper curry from the Chinese. Since we stopped takeaways we have saved money too. They sell them in b &m and home bargins too

This is good stuff, I use to love Mayflowers frozen sweet n sour sauce also... But If you like it mild check your local Home Bargains for Middleton Foods Chinese Curry Sauce Mix (48g) 29p. They have had it at my local for a few weeks now and that Curry is equally as good, just add chicken chunky onions and chicken stock mmm... I had some last night <3
