But it's not a good as it used to be : since they changed the black one to fruity.

i disagree - the black is much nicer now , couldnt stand the previous flavour

The old black flavour was vile.

Proper man's sweets these, mind... hold on to your teeth =)
#5
is this instore or online?

The old Lions made ones from the old days were much better....and I also prefered the old black version.Same with Lions Midget Gems.

When Lions were bought out by Cadbury's/Maynards the old style Sports Gems were doomed. The black liquorice flavoured ones were my favourite - and I always got lots because everyone in my family hated them. That blackcurrant replacement is disgusting, IMHO.

I agree the Lion brand are better flavours. You can still get hold of them if you have a Makro card, unfortunately its a 3kg box but they last me about 12 months mmm! Midget gems also available.:)

I reckon they'd last me at most 2 weeks haha

I used to throw away the black ones as they really were disgusting, obviously a marmite type thing.

I do still enjoy them but find them too soft these days. So i put them in the fridge for a while and they're just like the old times.

the black one were only liquorish (and better than the fruit black one now) and you can still buy loose lions in good sweet shops along with midget Gems and fruit salads which are all basically the same just a different shape
#12
yep you cna still buy Lions. Just wondering if the maynards ones have stopped using the Lions recipe and are now soft and cheap like they were before Lions?
#13
yer, they're now a soft, cheap varient of wine gums...
#14
