and I am old enough to remember these costing 1p each when you could buy them singular.
and yes I do prefer the Lions brand myself which you can still get if you look around, but what I usually do now is buy these at this price and stick a few licorice tablets in there, same effect at a cheaper price.
Except for the black ones I see very little difference with the rest...

They're the same aren't they? Thought Maynards had taken over Lions.

I thought Maynards were the new Lion gums:-

Personally, I don't like the Liquorice ones in the old Lion branded ones, so I prefer the new Maynard Blackcurrant ones. And trust me I have chomped my way through many a bag of these. (If you need any proof my dentist will happily vouch for this fact).

this may be of use.
i am also a fan of the lion branded midget gems/sports mixture.
the do the midget gems in ASDA for about 25p a bag , ASDA own brand.
they are pretty close to the lion brand.
much nicer than the maynards anyways , i buy a load of bags when im passing an asda.
