my 2nd bargain while out at b&m today was this baby,Just tried and it is very hot and again at 49p hard to beat

Taken from their website

Look, we're TABASCO®. We know hot. If anyone knows hot, it's us. So when we say it's hot, what we mean is, it's hot. Really hot. Off-the-charts kind of hot. We mix one of the worlds hottest peppers with mango, papaya and more to create a fruity, Jamaican-style blend. Perfect for hot chicken, hot chili, hot grilling sauces or anything else you're hot enough to handle. Great as a marinade or for basting, TABASCO® brand Habanero Sauce will add a hot Caribbean touch to any dish you're serving. But proceed with caution.

TABASCO® Habanero Sauce has a Scoville Unit Rating of greater than 7000, which means compared to all of our other sauces, it's by far the hottest.

it's not that hot.

Indeed, 7,000 scovilles is nothing. A fresh habanero weighs in at around 200,000 so that should give an idea how many go into this

Probably tasty though, habs are a nice pepper.
#10
Hot alright! Good taste too not just heat alone.
Lovely stuff, good price.

Bought this over a month ago and not even half is gone yet.

 I've got a bottle of Da Bomb 'Beyond Insanity' in the cupboard somewhere, not as hot as Ground Zero though.

Just use fresh Bhut Jokolai, over a million scovile.
#17
I tried half a tea spoon of this a few months ago in work when one of the lads brough it in - straight out the bottle.

It's called Mad Dog 357 and is 5 million scovilles.........OUCH!!!!!

Ordinarily I like Encona Hot Pepper Sauce. Think it's about 69p for a decent sizes squeezy bottle from wherever the missus get's it from, either B&M or Home Bargains I think.

Mad Dog 357 is 357,000 scovilles, not 5 million.

I think your going over the top with 5 million units. 357,000 units sounds more realistic:

Blair's 16 Million Reserve

A NEW chilli sauce goes on sale today that is so hot it could KILL.

Ultra-concentrated “16 Million Reserve” is the hottest science can make.

The sauce is 30 times hotter than the spiciest pepper and 8,000 times more fiery than Tabasco.

Diners must sign a disclaimer recommending “protective gloves and eye wear” ? but even sweating testers in safety gear were blinded by tears for 30 minutes.

Just 999 bottles of it are on sale at £105 each.

Medical experts fear it could kill asthmatics or hospitalise a user who touches a sensitive part of the body afterwards.

It is made of pure capsaicin, the chemical that makes peppers “hot”. It takes tons of peppers to make 1lb of capsaicin.

Creator Blair Lazar, 35, specialises in “extreme food” in New Jersey, US.

After trying it, he said: “It’s like having your tongue hit with a hammer. Man, it hurt.”

The sauce is named after its score on the chilli heat measure, the Scoville Unit.

Reserve scores 16 million units, while a Red Savina, the world’s spiciest pepper, measures just 570,000.

Origin

The Ultimate Limited Edition, only 999 - It cannot get hotter than this...
This Blair's collector's reserve bottle contains 16 million Scoville Units of Pure Capsicum. The tiny 1ml vial inside contains pure capsicum crystals, hottest element known to man. Nothing in the world could get hotter then this 16 Million Reserve. Be among the few to get one of these limited edition bottles. No more the 999 of Blair's 16 Million Reserve will be produced.

Anyone who says they enjoyed this for its "taste" is a liar. This reserve is pure capsaicin -- 100% chemical compound. Blair himself put a salt sized grain of this directly on his tongue, and was wounded for 2 days after. Handle with extreme care! -
Taste Opinion: Grim Heat Opinion: TOO HOT !!

This Habanero is as hot as. The normal Tabasco is easy to cope with but this one is another story... and at 49p it's a bargain. Think it sells for over £2 in Tesco
#24
I read it as -49p. They pay you to take it away :)
Love the stuff and price.

Fantastic deal! :whistling:

That's right mate. The one I had was defo 5 mil - it even said so on the label. I'd never heard of it before trying it but like you say there are a few different varieties.

Holy crap! Takes me around a year to get through a bottle of Tabasco

I have 3 Dorset Naga plants growing, and one generic naga/jolokia. It's going to be epic.

Throw in my peach habs, scotch bonnets, birds eyes, cherry bombs, hungarian hot waxes, jalapeños, bell peppers and ramiro sweet peppers and there is no longer room to enter the greenhouse, let alone harvest later in the year
#30
HOT deal dude--got three bottles , I normally use Encona --which at B+M or Netto was about 80 pence--this stuff is good , gives you the glow around the lips .
Thanks for sharing .....

OFF TOPIC(ish)
btw with the homegrown peppers are you using Hydro ? or just natural light.....I have grown some of the little thin green chillies (the ones in the Asian shops you can buy) --they have reached a couple of inches long -but the heat is not as intense as I would have thought..
#31
Mine are all natural light and in pots. Used to give them 'Chilli Focus' food, but it's just not practical now. Try watering the plants less, should make them a bit hotter, they need less of it than you'd think.
#32
Thanks for the advice ,much appreciated-- I tend to water every couple of days(leaving the tap water a day or so in a bottle to get rid of the fluoride..? ) --but will leave it a bit longer .
#33
I often leave mine till they're looking a bit limp before giving them some water, although that can be because I have forgotten

The jalapeño I keep on my desk at work usually gets a good drenching once a week, and that's working wonders for it.
#34
Bought 8 of the little devils today. Thanks for the tip. Have to say though, I had a really depressing shopping experience in the BM store in Warrington though. Absolutely horrible mother there giving one of her kids a hard time... cant get the ******** image out me head
#35
they also had the mild (green bottles) tabasco in the Cleveley's store. Picked up a couple of bottles in Blackpool - cheers OP :)
