Hi Guys, my son's laptop has avg which is great, but I need to put it on my mums. Doeas anyone know the site which gives a free download, as the one I found cheekly asked for me to take out a prescription with one of a few various sites before i could get access! cheers!

Would posting a deal of avg be allowed, since the message must be spread.

I use Avast and it's been brilliant!

whats the best.. avast or avg???
#12
debatable like all software it depends of the person behind the keyboard ,although lots like avg :)

I think they are being a bit hard on this deal. So the basic software is 2006 but the virus definitions will be up to date for the next 12 months. Most of the bells and whistles they add to new versions are of little value anyway compared to the core product. Mind you, I use avg as well...

I'm not a fan of McAfee products (too intrusive), but it is a bit unfair to compare this with the freebie versions of AVG and Avast - AVG has no firewall and Avast's is pretty pants! If you're surfing the web with just anti-virus and Windows firewall, you're asking for trouble!
