My friend bought MCAfee last year and it slowed and messed his laptop up. We did clean install and is now using another antivirus no problem.

I cant stand McAfee but hard to argue with the price :)

Yea I must admit since installing this on our pc it has got a hell of a lot slower then before plus it's always scanning in the background which I think is unnecessary tbh.

Still I suppose I'm safe from the hackers wanting to know what websites I'm visiting the nosy gits! :{

It's worth pointing out that most if not all by now ISP's provide some sort of anti virus software with their broadband supply - so check your account before buying anything.

Just advice for those that may benefit :)

anyone bought it already and like to share it here?

"Cullies" spot on. Forget the "they've improved over the last 4 years". If you want to slow down and screw up your computer go ahead. Take a look at its creator....says it all.... http://venturebeat.com/2014/09/15/john-mcafee-comes-out-swinging-for-net-neutrality-while-blasting-att-and-verizon/

Sorry Op
avoid this like the plague. you would think a company like intel which owns this would sell a better product.
Recently had to remove from lappy as pre installed. shocking how it slows down your pc.
would not use it if it was free
