had these last night along with tesco fnest beer battered onion rings, onion rings were spot on, these chips...tasted disgusting, and smelt bad when cooking too!
Just my opinion, my girlfriend loved them, and she hates beer! makes sense as no alcohol!
#2
Love them with a nice burger and a cold drink.
banned#3

#4
Had these a couple of weeks ago.they were ok
I find oven chips are even better deep fried
#5

#6

#7
!00% british potatoes LOL.

I've seen 1st hand the **** that goes through this factory . Not nice
#8
I love them :) and only a quid in Tesco also.
banned#9
Yea, these have been a quid at tesco for my last 3 shops now.
#10
we found these rather dry and not very nice either
#11
They are YUM !!
#12
I got to agree these chips are awful, even the dog wouldnt eat them!!!
#13
I like these, but it just shows how much the big supermarkets rip us all off. Farmfoods sell these for a £1 usually. Sainsburys sell them at a price 50% more usually. So I would not say this is hot - but its not cold either. These chips are reasonable for £1.

i've been following the us election too much and thought this was for republican freedom fries :shock::shock:
#15
vile i wouldnt eat them again if they were free
#16
Got them last time they were on offer and thought they were awful

Sainsburys steak cut chips are about £1.40 for a 2kg bag and nicer to eat.
#17
absolutely love these chips, £1 at ASDA at mo.

When I first had these I wasn't sure but after a few bags now I must say I rather do like them. I have no ideas how some people have made them greasy or really dry. Follow the instructions in a decent oven and they come our perfectly everytime.

For God's sake this forum is constantly being overrun by bl00dy supermaket deals!!!

Do some people not realise that supermarkets ALWAYS have offers on certain items of food and that they just vary them about from product to product every couple of weeks? It doesn't mean you should have to post every single offer that they have. What are we going to have next.......5p off barmcakes or something???

We used to have a seperate thread for ALL supermarket deals except now they're just all spammed in the main section!

OK if it's a really good deal like some of the beer ones ie. a deal that's actually going to make you go to that specific supermarket specifically for that certain item then fair do's but this is just 53p off a bag of oven chips FFS. You either pick up a bag or two next time you're in Sainsbury's or you don't it's as simple as that.

Come on mods let's have a supermarket only section where people can post these deals to their hearts content and the rest of can get on with scooping up the proper deals.

@ Batman2 I've got nothing against you mate but everyone is posting these stupid grocery deals all the frigging time it just aint what this forum is/was/should be about.

I liquidized some & drank it.

it's just plain wrong to make something with beer that can't be drunk.

Had some the other night. They're OK. Hard to feel strongly about them either way tbh...

Well said. Sorry to make this my first post, but been checking this site out for about a year now and it really has gone downhill. These aren't 'deals', they're just run of the mill offers - you would be very surprised if you visited a supermarket and there *weren't* deals like this available on certain items.

I realise as someone not acively posting deals I have less of a say but it really does bring the quality of the site down to see this and endless mobile ads.

Again, no offence intended to the poster, but why can't we have a separate forum for these posts - that way, people who do find them useful (who I have no problem with) can see them and others can view bigger scale discounts.

Maybe the rule could be based around the cash value of a discount - e.g. a separate page for savings of £5 or less.

These are the most disgusting chips I've ever had. They smell so bad even the dog turned his nose up at them. Might as well have taken my quid. flushed it straight down the toilet and cut out the middleman.
