McCain Rustic Oven Chips 1kg - £0.99 - Iceland

£0.99 @ Iceland
Bought two bags of McCain Rustic Oven Chips at Iceland yesterday, 99p each. I think they usually sell for ~ £1.50. These are not the usual ultra thin fries, but proper chunky chips - very yummy!

pretty much the standard price, Aunt Bessies are nicer :-D

Had a quick look at Sainsburys/Tesco's online stores.

Tesco has them on special price too, at £1.00 each and Sainsburys is selling them for £1.69.

Never tried the Aunt Bessies chips, will do now, their roast potatoes are nice.

still a good price got these at Sainsburys some time ago for £1, these chips are BIG mind so you will get a good few BIG ones and then relatively smaller ones to fill empty space in the bag.

Same at most supermarkets - £1 in tesco

Tried some of these chips before, don't really like them, they are like plain potato wedges. Still a hot deal for a big bag of chips.

Never had oven chips before. Are they crispy? or just soggy ?
 :)

Depends how long you cook them...;-)

Price is back to normal, also Tesco still has them on offer I think.

I tried the Aunt Bessie's Homestyle Chips today, very nice! I do in fact prefer them to the McCain and with the price back to normal they are also cheaper.
