High end? How are these superior to other high tops?

As far as I'm concerned, McQ is a John Wayne cop movie. Alexander McQueen, (and his ilk) is a wealthy man because people are far too gullible and out to impress with how 'cool' they think they have to look in order to somehow be better. The money could be better spent elsewhere.

Well 'people' aren't always right. Sometimes money is better saved, or spent on something more worthwhile and less frivolously. And there are many other ways to spend 'spare' cash than clothes. I feel sorry for you if you can't think of any.
