Might want to mention that this is N.Ireland only?
#2
why? noone ever says England only or any other sort of region specific information.

Tesco =

Finest Silverside - £9.00

Pork chops 1lb - £.3.15

Sirloin - £7.80

Sausages - £1.97

Mince - £2.88

Total £24.80

Not a bad deal, but i reckon shopping around would still bring it all in cheaper.

OK, was just trying to help. I rated hot for what it's worth, but you are probably getting rated cold, because it's wasting people's time and site bandwidth for many who just can't get this deal. You also should mention the price and location in the subject title.

Not a problem mate, I don't mean to be/sound uppity but there are lots of deals on here that don't apply to me because they are instore only or have free delivery to certain areas. I still have to check out which ones I can get.

But I'm not worried about heat or rep anyway. I bet most people who visit the site don't vote or comment on anything, I'm just giving people a heads up.

Hope that sounded ok cause I'm drunk and you should just take the bits that sounded ok and forget the bad bits.

Cheers.

I'm not bothered - I was just trying to give you a pointer. I imagine there's a fair few opening this deal up, and finding it doesn't apply to them. If you had the basic information in the title, they wouldn't need to open it up. People do tend to put informative titles on here generally, and you'd benefit from that too for other deals. If you'd rather they opened it up and found out it didn't apply for themselves, when a simple edit would help, that's obviously your call.

Sorry to correct you but the United Kingdom includes Great Britain and Northern Ireland. ;-)

Added rep for the first time ever simes123, thanks. And edited. I'm a happy drunk by the way lol.

Post number 2 says 'ireland only'. I'm fully aware that northern Ireland is part of the uk.

OK are there any Supervalu's in England/Scotland or Wales ????

If there arent then surely the original poster doesnt need to specify Northern Ireland or the Republic Of Ireland

That is like when ppl post bargins for Morrisions or other companys that are 'Main Land' based, you dont hear Norn Iron ppl voting cold cause they aren't in our neck of the woods.

This forum covers, England, Scotland, Wales and NORTHERN IRELAND, there are moderators from all four on this forum, each posting deals regularly and not specifing the actual 'country' they are in.

Thousands of people from Scotland can nip over the border to England-only retailers and vice versa. Same for Wales. The difference with Northern Ireland is that you can't. The OP refusing to see the benefit of adding in 3 words was arrogant and detrimental to the way his deal was perceived. He wrote far more words saying why he wouldn't - that's my explanation over.

Don't expect any heat from the "Mainlanders" for anything in green today!! :whistling:

LOL Would that be a reference to rugby which has absolutely no relevance here whatsoever?
I'm so sorry that a deal specific to N. Ireland has occurred at this time.

Yeah I think you've made most of us agree with that.

No, there aren't any Supervalu's in England/Scotland or Wales. The OP hadn't identified Supervalu in the title, hence my post. I didn't vote cold, I voted hot!!! I suggested more information be provided so, unlike me, other people didn't have to click through to the deal, and didn't then subsquently have to use the store locator to find it didn't apply to them!

Honestly, it would have taken a second to sort out, and now has been, saving many clicking through pointlessly, and probably saving HUK deals some wasted bandwidth. The posting guidelines are there for all.

I wonder if Supervalu also do vegetables as well as meat, although the OP certainly won't be needing any chips for his shoulder. The apologising for a Northern Ireland deal was pathetic, all down to the fact that he refused to add Northern Ireland because 'people don't specify when it's England'. Is it Londonderry or Derry? You can see how they get decades of conversation out of mind numbingly dull points of order over there.

LOL, I have no chip on my shoulder. I had no idea supervalu were only in N. Ireland.

This was only a deal I thought was pretty good. Others posted replies about my attitude and/or location of the deal. You guys are the ones with a problem. As long as y'all keep posting deals relevent to me then I'll keep visiting/posting.

Really don't care what you think of me.

Cheers, have a good un.

"You can see how they get decades of conversation out of mind numbingly dull points of order over there"... interesting take the more than three thousand deaths in the cycle of internecine murder and reprisals in the province over a 35 year period. So sorry that we have bored you so much over here!
#25
You want a debate on the Northern Ireland situation in a topic about cheap sausages?

Sorry about the deaths. None of them are down to me.

I don't want a debate about it at all, nor do I believe any of it was down to you personally. But I don't understand why your ire at the attitude of the original poster led you to spout such a ridiculous line as...

"Is it Londonderry or Derry? You can see how they get decades of conversation out of mind numbingly dull points of order over there."

I don't believe that has much to do with sausages either!!
#27
The point was that the OP wrote many of words explaining/justifying why he wouldn't write two words (into the title). With that there appeared to be a "hard done by Northern Ireland, they're being nasty about us AGAIN" sentiment to his later contribution.

Sometimes it's better to take well meaning advice and not feel that people are belittling your home! Sorry it's a Northern Ireland deal/sorry it's Londonderry/Derry - my point was a slight tongue in cheek poke that sometimes talking for an hour about how you don't want to speak is not always the most productive use of time - and politicians over there seem to excel at that ;-)

Anyway, no offence meant - I love Northern Ireland :)
#28
Ok, I gotta concede re: our politicians.. don' t think trying to argue that point would hold up anywhere
