From the manufacturer's description this Wireless Media Player seems an attractive proposition; indeed it boasts an excellent array of connections on the back. Unfortunately, it simply does not deliver. It is extremely fussy about what media it plays back. It won't play MP3 Pro files (only standard MP3s) and has limited functionality with DivX, and WMV files. It won't play Quicktime .mov files at all. And abandon all hope of getting decent High Definition playback unless you want to spend days recoding all your files into a format the gadget likes. Forget about using it as network storage as NAS is not supported. FTP is difficult to set up and is excruciatingly slow over wireless LAN. A shame because this could be a fantastic product, but it simply is not ready. I'd check Freecom's user support forum for more people's experiences before spending your money: I wish I had.

So, total price is £68.50 delivered for a second-hand patched up busted one,

When NEW, it was only £66.04 with free delivery here:

That would be if they, or anywhere else had it in stock, as it is dead as a dodo & no longer available even from the manufacturer - that also requires you to be daft enough to want one in the first place with it's track record! eg this review: http://www.pocket-lint.com/quick-review/3179/Freecom-Network-media-player-450 :whistling:

agreed with the product review...where they the software is still bugy....there is an update( unoffical) which makes it work better..
the 66.04 is out of stock...and the freecom voucher works...prices in other places is over 100...
so for the price i think its a good deal...only think i know it does do as yet is play "apple files"...will be getting mine so ..will try it and let you all know..
