Looking for something similar so thanks for the post.

Can anyone compare this Medion with the Dell Studio 15 priced at £579 for me please?

As far a as i can see the Medion has better processor but Dell has better graphics card. Can anyone offer any other opinions please?

According to notebookcheck the Dells 5470 is considerably worse than the Medions 5165

Processor performance should be beter on the Medion too as although the Dells i3-350 has the same base clock speed the i5-430 has turbo boost.

The Medion looks the best macjhine (on paper) and the 2 year warranty should allay fears over the make.

If you still favour Dell have you considered Dell outlet? I picked up a Dell XPS 16 for £575 delivered in July (i5-540 processor, 4Gb ram, 320GB 7200 HDD, 1Gb HD4670, Blu-ray writer with Full HD screen and best of all a backlit keyboard). Other folks report similarly good deals lately...

Voted hot as this seems a decent spec and a good deal with the 2yr warranty.

Thanks for that wombat. Not worried one bit by the Medion as i've owned a Medion desktop for about 8 years now and it's still going strong, never had any trouble with it. I'll take a look at notebookcheck and see for myself the difference in performance and then i might even take the plunge and grab this deal if i don't spot anything better.
