Dont forget the rip off £24.50 postage to N.ireland! at least parcelfarce charges no extra for n.ireland deliveries, just everyone else.

that is very cheap,a good buy for someone.Well spotted:thumbsup:

I've had this monitor for just over a year. I paid £40 for it because it was on clearence where I worked.

I wouldn't pay over £80 for it, might aswell save up a bit more and get yourself a good one.

The internal speakers are pants and the display is average, I only bought it cause it was so damn cheap!

Nice find :) Thanks airey and edi for the eBuyer HannsG option!

Wouldnt touch Medion with a bargepole.

Cheap-made crap, and their support takes the ****.

Getting anything from Ebuyer is a gamble too. If you have any problems with the goods they make it as difficult as possible to return it. You can't talk to anyone there either should you need to.
#9
Actually eBuyer support has improved no end. There is a phone number on their site and it tells you how long to expect to wait when you call.

On the other hand, as Ive said many times on this board, Medion have about the least helpful staff and very long queues to get through.

cheers airey, good price :)

looks a god price, ive been looking for a while, wondering now whether to go for it... lol

Personally I'd spend £20 more and get 1 that has DVI.

I went for:
17" Daewoo HL720AD Black TFT, DVI/VGA, 1280x1024, 8 ms, 500:1, 300 cd/m2, Speakers £88.07 inc Vat (£101 delivered) at:
http://www.scan.co.uk/todayonly/

Looks a damn sight better too! Got mine, tested it and boy I'm impressed.

Total RUBBISH. I've bought several items including TWO laptops from medion & they've all been good.

I believe my laptop is a rebadged Medion - and it's been the best laptop I've had. A lot better than the HP ones, which have so far always fallen apart after a while.

Having said that, I've seen some crap Medion stuff, too. But Ebuyer support has been reasonable of late, so if you really can't afford a penny more, I'd be tempted by this.

Word of warning about Medion warranty, i had a faulty monitor and they said they would have to take it away and would take a month to repair and get back to me, in the end i took it back to the shop and got a refund, worth making sure it has a onsite or swap out warranty if you buy a monitor as no monitor=no computer for many people

And i, as well as a few family members have various Medion products.
They are cheap crap.

Look at my PC, various parts have failed, including replaced parts, and to get repairs, i have had waits of 1 Month +.
Medion send their parts to a contractor, which takes a week. Unless its from their main offices in Germany, which is an added 2 weeks. And UK runs out a lot due to the demand for repairs/replacements.
ie, they had to upgrade my Graphics card, as they had totally ran out of them due to so many burn-outs and replacements.
Then the engineer needs to come out, and he is only in a certain area 1 day of the week.
It can take a month to get him out. If he brings the wrong parts, then its a week to get him back. IF he has the parts, which reverts back to sending out parts from Medion which takes weeks again.

Same applies to parts like monitors etc.
Just need to check they send out the correct models, and not a refurbished older spec as many have experienced.

They can be fine IF they work.
If it breaks , then expect to wait a few weeks/months.

Thats the unnofficial forums for Medion products.
Plenty stories on there to back me up.

Nice one airey, good price ! :)

Like I said earlier in this post, I own this monitor.

The only reason I got it is that I only paid £40 for it. I wouldn't pay over £50 for this, its really budget.
#19
Medion are a big seller at my local Aldis. That says it all.
#20
Am I the only one to think this isn't a good buy. Contrast ratio is only 400:1. There's better monitor out there for a similar price.
#21
Nah theres a few can see its rubbish.

But then theres a few just look at the price n think its cheap.

Some things are just cheap for a reason.....like this :D
