No spec for connections so i guess it is only analogue?
Decent price and appearance, so not a bad deal.

Do they come with Zero-dead pixel gurantee? Last time, I bought a DGM from Scan coming with 3 dead pixels and they refuse to repair it!

This is ALDI, they will take it back just because you don't like the colour of the monitor.

Not without special converters, this is just a computer monitor.

There's no tuner built in, but there's no reason it won't display TV if you hook up a tuner to it (e.g. Freeview digibox) - although you might have trouble finding one with a vga connection and the quality of normal TV signals won't be great without the usual HDTV processing.

Just beware that support is crap, there is no on site exchange like most monitors, you have to send it away and can take up to 8 weeks for a repair, i know this from experience.

The whole reason for buying electronics from Asda, Lidl and Aldi is that there is usually no problem at all in getting a full refund, if the product goes faulty.

Medion's idea that the customer should bear the costs of the returns postage does seem a bit odd. First time I have ever heard that one.

They said they would collect it, but i did take it back to Staples and eventually got a refund i couldnt be without a PC for 8 weeks , most stores wont give a refund after 1 year anyway, and Aldi dont after 30 days i beleive.

Anyhoo personally i would go for a Samsing or Benq who offer very quick exchange, the courier brings a new one and take the old one away.

It was just a heads up to make people aware anyway

Don't think I would want someone else's repaired monitor as a swap out.

Asda and Lidl have in the past refunded me for items older than 6month. My brother took his TV back to Asda after more than 2years (3 or 5 year warranty if I remember right) and got full refund there and then (which he spent on another one of their TVs).

8 weeks repair time does seem ridiculous, I wouldn't wait more than 2 weeks.

What has Lidl and Asda go to do with it, this is being sold in ALDI !

They take stuff back for pretty much any reason, just like Lidl and Asda.

Also I have not had to return something that was older than 2-3month, they have never bothered getting things repaired that I did bring back.

Now Tesco on the other hand are a whole different story. :whistling:

Aldi will not take it back for any reason. They used to be really good but now if it is past 30 days and faulty you have to call the number for service as aldi stores will have nothing to do with it. I know as I tried to return something faulty which was beyond the 30 days. I for one do not shop there anymore for electricals.

Where does its say that the customer has to bear the cost of postage? I just had my Medion HD camcorder collected fro repair, being sent off to germany and I didt pay a penny.

That was a misunderstanding, when deanos said "you have to send it away " I somehow assumed he meant that he had to provide box and postage, which wasn't the case.

No they will collect said item but its the turnaround that bothers me, especially when they quoted up to 8 weeks, something like a monitor you need back quickly as it means you are without your pc, thats why i think its worth having a on site swap out warranty

Just bought one of these.
D Sub only, no dead pixels on the one I bought.
Ideal as a 2nd monitor for displaying the picture from my Sat card.
Plugged in turned the brightness down a bit and good to go.
Apparently a 30 day refund period and then a 3 year guarantee.

All in all a good deal for my needs :)
Thanks to the OP.
