I'm quite tempted by this deal, but I wouldn't mind seeing the opinion of someone who knows more than me about this stuff and/or someone who has this model.

doesnt seem too bad a tv from the spec but dont expect it to be the best. 3 yr warranty is a big plus. just depends what your expectations are. i had a 1080i 32 tv and it was ok, this will be better than that.

Good deal heat added!

Well difference is, these will be in stock

Could do as a PC Monitor.

Certainly a good price for a full HD 32" screen, but I doubt the TV viewing experience is going to impress anyone.

Just buy one, if you are not happy, you have 28 days to return it to the shop with Aldi " no quibble " guarantee.

Like you i've not seen this tv but I suspect the majority of people will be perfectly happy with it.

I paid under £300 for my 32inch hdtv and it's a lovely picture and everyone who has seen it says the same although I suspect some techno geeks would some how find fault.

Hot deal!

Has anone managed to get a sky remote to work one of these tv's?

If so what code did you enter into the remote (v8)

Thanks

MEDION® MD20410 32" LCD TV I purchased one yesterday. I had my memory stick in the USB socket to view some pictures I noticed the remote had a record button pressed it, hey presto a full blown PVR with all the user controls it started to record the contents I was watching on DVB channel to the 4gb Cruzer usb stick, a 1 hour dump consumed 1.4gb.The Mpeg file played back on my PC without any problems nice simple menu's the sound and picture quality are very good the purchase was gift for a friend of mine.I have a 42" Philip's LCD Ambilight. I had more fun with the Medion TV. I have also 2 Medion Computers the service from thier Center in Swindon is excellent when I had a problem. I am off back to Aldi to get one for myself for the bedroom if they have any left.

That's very impressive being able to record to usb. If i didn't already have a new hdtv i'd be very tempted.

Unfortunately I tried to purchase another today I was told by the Aldi management they where sold out in the East Riding of Yorkshire on Sunday and they may get some more stock soon.
I will try out my Acer Revo which has a HDMI connection on the Medion TV when I visit my friend tomorrow watch this space.

I bought the 27 inch Medion - believe the deal was listed nearly a year ago - all i can say is it is fantastic...happily switch my xbox between this and the 42" panasonic viera and see little or no deterioration -

As its a 27inch and runs at 720p thats perfect for the screen size - all this twaddle about Full HD on screens <32 inch !

My medion fortunately isnt branded at the front - so badgfe snobs simply assume (Because i have a nice big TV down stairs then this one must be pretty good) - when ive told them it was a medion they were impressed...

witht he warranty you cant go wrong - mind you mine came with a 5 year warranty iirc...

I wouldnt count on it.

Each Aldi store will get about 4 items and they will all be sold out within 2 days.

can anyone else confirm if this is true? Seems like an odd feature not to mention if you are trying to sell a TV.

If it can do this, HOT!

do u know if it can record other feeds (hdmi, scart) and not just dvb?
#36
This TV is excellent! full 1080p, PVR recording via usb (only in DVB mode!) mp3, jpg, 1w in standby, only negative is the remote! I bought one for myself as i had been looking for a full HD 32" tv for about £300, but when i saw this with 3 year warranty i ran down on sunday morning and bagged one, it looks a lot like a Samsung TV my friend has, but his is only Hd Ready :(

Good luck if you want one as i think they will be gone very soon!

btw, PVR format is standard .MPG so easy to burn in Nero as DVD if you want, i just recorded sky captain at dvd quality and burned to DVD. and firmware update might support hdmi recording in the future as long as the signal is not encrypted.

HD Ready as you put it (720p) is fine for a 32" and 1080p will not make a noticable difference unless you are sat really close to the tv, i know this gets said ALOT on this site but again some people seem to ignore it. (Please dont argue with me about the point go visit AV Forums for more info just thought i would mention it)

All that aside it is likey to be a well known brand name that makes the panel for this TV, and it is just cased up and badged differently.
